Add your name to the list of famous thinkers and scholars of Greece as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime voyage with Road Scholar President James Moses. Begin this memorable journey with two days in the ancient city of Athens, then embark the Aegean Odyssey to sail along the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea and explore the islands of Monemvasia, Crete, Rhodes, Kos, Santorini and Syros. Throughout this journey, be immersed in the foods, music, politics and local customs that make Greece one of the most fascinating — and welcoming — countries of the world.

Best of all, you'll ...

  • Explore the capital city of Athens, taking in the ancient history of the Acropolis and enjoying a welcome cocktail party with your fellow Road Scholars.
  • Attend a theatrical recreation of a Cretan wedding to participate in the customs of preparation, taste traditional wedding foods, and enjoy the lively music and celebration.
  • Immerse yourself in medieval history at Monemvasia Castle, then enjoy a hands-on cooking class at the Byzantine-era Kinsterna Hotel.

General Notes

Road Scholar has chartered the entirety of the 300-passenger Aegean Odyssey for this departure. Individual groups will not exceed 35 participants per Group Leader, and Road Scholar will ensure that traveling companions are grouped together. Due to the exclusive nature of this sailing and the agreement with Voyages to Antiquity, Odyssey Club members will not receive their standard benefits for the President's Voyage.
