There’s no better way to delve deep into the story of the American South than on a journey along the Mighty Miss. On a private voyage that begins in New Orleans and ends in Memphis, join us as we sail along the Mississippi River on board the modern American Duchess, the first all-suite paddle wheeler in the U.S. We’ve reserved the entire ship for this learning adventure, and along the way, you’ll learn about the origins of blues and jazz, trace the stories of the Civil War and learn about the people who inhabited the many plantations and towns along the Mississippi, as well as those who have made working on the river their way of life.
