Dinner: Plated dinner in main dining room at 6:30. Meet your fellow players.

Evening: You will receive your notebooks and some optional homework to stimulate ideas.Orientation will take place in main dining room after dinner, discussing program details and activities. It’s time to start discovering why bridge is the most famous game in the world. Once you learn this game, you can go anywhere on the Planet Earth and immediately find fellow players-- language is no barrier! We’ll give you a little overview of what you can expect over the next few days, and how your life will change forever!!

Getting Started On Our First Hand

Breakfast: Breakfast is cooked to order, featuring organic local foods and seasonal fruits.

Morning: We will tackle our learning in tiny bite-sized pieces, each one providing a foundation for what’s coming. You will learn by playing bridge, not listening to lectures. Each puzzle piece will be followed by sample hands.

Lunch: A light plated lunch will be provided in the restaurant dining room. There will be a two and a half hour break including lunch. During this time we will host a walk or a leisurely trip into town.

Afternoon: We will continue to fine-tune what we learned in the morning. We’ll focus on practice rather than absorbing new material. You’ll learn how the best part of bridge is your partner, and how many different ways there are to look at the same hand.

Dinner: Dinner is served in the main dining room of the the Inn. This will be a plated dinner with selections made from the first night.

Evening: The card room will be available for you to play and enjoy the company of fellow students.

Getting In The Game

Breakfast: Breakfast is cooked to order, featuring organic local foods and seasonal fruits, served in the main dining room.

Morning: You’ll learn that there are no rules in bridge, only different approaches. Each hand is a mystery to be unraveled and explored. We will look at bidding, declarer play and defense. You will be amazed and entranced by the treats each hand holds. Brief coffee break during this presentation.

Lunch: A light plated lunch will be provided in the restaurant dining room. There will be a two and a half hour break including lunch.

Afternoon: You’ll learn how the best part of bridge is your partner, and how many different ways there are to look at the same hand. We will learn to be flexible and enjoy “going with the flow” of the cards. You will come to understand that bridge is an art form, not a science!!

Dinner: Served in main dining room.

Evening: The card room will be available for you to play and enjoy the company of fellow students. EVENING PROGRAM: After dinner a discussion on the local flora and fauna will be led by a Vermont trained biologist. Samples of both animals and artifacts will be brought and discussed. This is an opportunity to draw out both myths and legends of Vermont history of wild animals and domestic life as it has evolved through the ages.

Lunch: A light plated lunch will be provided in the restaurant dining room. There will be a two and a half hour break including lunch. During this time we will host a leisurely trip into the town of Wilmington Vermont. Wilmington is a quaint little town rich in history and New England architectural features.

Afternoon: Emphasizing the topic of the morning we’ll focus on practice rather than absorbing new material. You’ll learn how the best part of bridge is your partner, and how many different ways there are to look at the same hand. We will learn to be flexible and enjoy “going with the flow” of the cards.

Dinner: Served in the main dining room.

Evening: After dinner we will be featuring a musical performance by local performers. This in-house show will include melodies we can all sing-a-long, perhaps request a favorite and participate.

Discovering The Joy of The Game

Morning: This morning we will learn by playing bridge, and give listening to lectures a break. You’ll learn that there are no rules in bridge, only different approaches. Each hand is a mystery to be unraveled and explored. We will look at bidding, declarer play and defense. You will be amazed and entranced by the treats each hand holds.

Lunch: EXCURSION: A light plated lunch will be provided in the restaurant dining room. There will be a two and a half hour break including lunch. During this time we will host a walk or a leisurely trip into town. Dover Valley Trail provides a nice groomed trail for a stroll among the trees a guide will take a group for a 40 minute walk.

Afternoon: Play in a mini-tournament!! You’re ready for prime time! Let’s play in a real game, with Masterpoints for the winners. What are Masterpoints? You’ll find out!! This is a great opportunity to see how games are played in clubs around the world. Get ready to take your show on the road.

Dinner: Served in main dining room

Evening: The card room will be available for you to play and enjoy the company of fellow students.

Morning: A brief after-breakfast announcement of yesterday's winners, discussion of bridge resources and closing remarks and we will be on our way with many new ideas and friends. Program ends at 10
