This is an outstanding trip. Bunny, our group leader, has been with Colonial Williamsburg for many years and knew so much about the period history as well as the development of Colonial Williamsburg itself. In addition, she is a wonderful story teller and used inventive ways to communicate the history and get everyone involved in the activities. The program participants seemed to get along well together, which I think reflects on the talents of our leader. Our trips to Jamestown and Yorktown were very interesting. And everyone seemed to enjoy winery tour and wine-tasting. The other program lecturers and musicians were excellent -- which made for a well-rounded program. Our hotel was right in Colonial Williamsburg, so it was easy to explore during our free time. We were given a length-of-stay pass to Colonial Williamsburg that allowed us into all the buildings, museums, etc. There was a lot going on in Colonial Williamsburg in the evenings, so it was fun to be right there. The accommodations were comfortable, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the meals we ate at the hotel were enjoyable. Our meals outside of the hotel were also quite good. Colonial Williamsburg has restaurants in all price ranges, so we had lots of choices for the couple of meals that were not part of the program. If you have any interest in the Williamsburg, Jamestown, & Yorktown area and history, I would highly recommend this program.
