It is an excellent program for children that like the outdoors! Lots of history of the area on a barrier island!

This was a perfect trip for kids of all ages. This is a perfect location and fun to unplug and enjoy nature. It was exciting to spot the ponies by bike or bus! Perfect area to walk to do things in free time!

This program was amazing and anyone interested in the Chincoteague ponies would benefit from the knowledge learned. There is something for each generation. The kids are given their own opportunities to learn and the program is adaptable to all ages.

This was a wonderful and unique experience to share with my mother and children. We saw ponies being born, sailed alongside dolphins and visited a NASA launch site. It really was a wonderful program that let you get to know the people of Chincoteaque and their famous ponies.

The Chincoteague trip was absolutely perfect! We saw wild ponies, turtles laying eggs, bald eagles, and even a new-born foal. We romped in the ocean, mucked in the mud, and biked in the refuge. Road Scholar has put together a multi-generational program that managed to be interesting for all ages - with just the right balance of "telling, showing and doing". Cindy was an incredible tour leader, and John, Becca and Jenny added to the adventure. Along with the pint of blood we left on the island (mosquitoes are awful!) we also left a bit of our heart - and will go back again to see the wild ponies. Thank you Road Scholar!

This was an absolutely magical trip! Not only was everything was so organized and delightful, but our leader, Cindy, was a captivating storyteller with an encyclopedic knowledge of everything about Chincoteague and Assateague. We had a broad range of children's ages (7 to 16) but they clicked well under Cindy's gentle leadership. The mud mucking was a highlight - not as messy as it sounds but so much fun for everyone! It was just the right mixture of learning, activity and down time to get to know each other at the hotel pool - absolutely perfect!

This was a wonderful trip! Cindy the leader of the trip was outstanding. The accommodations were perfect for the program. The food was amazing! We learned so much about this beautiful island. Highly recommmend for all ages!
