Barbara Brease
Barbara Brease was raised in West Virginia and studied documentary film making at Temple University in Philadelphia. She came to Alaska after crewing with Greenpeace to save whales in the Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea. Since 1986, she has worked as a ranger- naturalist and technician in both the physical and cultural sciences for the National Park Service, skied on Denali, and explored the mountains with her late geologist husband with whom she raised two inquisitive daughters.
