I wanted to learn the rules and strategies of pickelball. Through instruction in the morning and round robin play in the afternoon - I got that ! And I met a great mixture of interesting people - of all abilities. There were lots of laughs and congratulations - while learning new skills - "Good shot!"

This is an excellent program to help you raise your pickleball skill level. All of the instructors were good and very helpful and it is a very beautiful location in a wonderful facility. I felt very pampered having the ocean in sight, hot tub and pool, not to mention the wonderful pickleball courts and instructors. The group consisted of a wide range of skill levels and the instructors were able to help everyone I believe to raise their skills. A very fun group!!

I am a tennis player and took the Road Scholar Pickleball program at Hilton Head because I loved the tennis camps offered at Palmetto Dunes in the past. Location, location! BUT, I really enjoyed Pickleball. I had never played Pickleball and wanted to see why this sport took over all tennis camps through Road Scholar. Pickleball is fun. The concept of a game for community, with all skill levels welcome, is fantastic. At the end of the week my muscles were nicely sore and I felt great. Pickleball is easy on the joints and offers competitive challenge (with kindness). I look forward to finding Pickleball players at home and will definitely have my extended family and friends join me for pop-up Pickleball games. Thank you Road Scholar for offering this opportunity.

Great opportunity to hang out with like-minded people in one of the most attractive resorts on the east coast of the U.S. Surrounded by first-class facilities and convenient to many highly rated restaurants, we had a wonderful week in glorious weather. Our instructor, Mark, did a terrific job with us newbies. He was patient, concerned, affable, but methodical in getting across what he wanted us to learn and to incorporate it into our "muscle memory." I especially appreciated his giving us the context and reasoning for his emphasis on court position. He taught us that more than either tennis or ping pong, mastery of the game of chess held the key we needed to becoming truly good players of pickleball because of the need to think about our moves one or two plays in advance. In his view, the game is much more complex than just getting the ball over the net and we came to appreciate his 4 dicta for successful play. My game improved and my waistline didn't expand even further despite some fine dining and drinking because of all the drills and round robins that burned up those calories! Very satisfying way to spend the last days of winter.

The Pickle Ball Camp at Hilton Head is outstanding for all level of players. Instruction groups are 6-8 people and divided into abilities of the players. 3 hours of instruction with lots of drills and then 2 hours of round robin play each day provides a lot of court time ina day!

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and I love playing it, although I have never had any formal instruction. This program gave me an opportunity to meet other enthusiasts and learn new skills in a beautiful, warm setting. Coaches were encouraging and fun to be with. Instruction was geared to your level and is excellent whether you are a beginner or intermediate player. I highly recommend this program!

Wonderful, active time of learning/practicing PB skills with others while having fun on the courts, as well as over meals and at the resort. Great experience all-round!

The entire week was wonderful and I enjoyed every minute being there and getting to know others who have a passion for Pickleball. The instructors were excellent, knowledgeable, and engaging, and the courts were plentiful and perfect. The meals at the resort were excellent, and staff was friendly and helpful. The resort itself is beautiful and spacious with opportunities for many other activities. I simply can't think of a negative about the entire week!
