Learned a lot in a beautiful setting.

If you're interested in increasing your appreciation for Lakota culture and your understanding of the challenges the Lakota face, this is the trip for you. The people we met on Pine Ridge Reservation were inspiring, the leaders gracious and knowledgeable, and the Black Hills and the Bad Lands gorgeous!

Valuable, educational trip. The Lakota speakers each day gave us different viewpoints about the Lakota way of life and insight into issues of the Pine Ridge reservation. The Powwow was fun; we felt welcomed and appreciated the overview and guidance from Larry, our Road Scholar guide. The accommodations at the Outlaw Ranch were simple but nice and the meals were delicious.

The program was very educational and fun as well. The PowWow in Rapid City was colorful and fun. The field trips to Pine Ridge reservation were really eye openers and made the whole program very valuable. You will walk away from the program knowing far more about Native Americans than you ever imagined.

I feel knowledgeable about Lakota culture after attending this program.
