Walking through Philadelphia is not only walking through space, but through time, from its settlement to today, as you learn about its history, art, architecture, food and its people from well-qualified leaders on sojourns through various neighborhoods of all ages. You'll learn about the unique qualities that its founder, William Penn, instituted in the fabric of life in this city that, through the Founding Fathers, became the basis of our country. Walks are well paced, expertly led, and variably interesting.

Great way to see the City. I learned that Philly has more than 3000 murals! We saw almost all of them.

City Walking is the best description of this trip. At least 3 of the days we walked 6 miles. If you want to learn about the art (in all forms) and architecture of Philadelphia this is the trip for you! Most of the major landmarks are visited and the distinct neighborhoods. Make use of your free time to tour City Hall and the tower for a great view of Phildelphia. Our guides Tish Byrne, Ken Hinde and Fred Vincent were very knowledgeable and passionate about their city. I would highly recommend this trip if you love walking in historical cities.

This is an interesting overview of the city in light of the historic nature of the intown neighborhoods. Lots of walking (yeah) and quality guides.

Great program to learn about the formation of this great nation & the brave men & women who made it happen!
