We will board our private motorcoach and transfer to Saccargia to visit its spectacular Romanesque church. Built in 1116 on the ruins of an existing monastery, the church was dedicated to the Holy Trinity of Saccargia. Then, we will transfer to Sassari, where we’ll set out on foot with our Group Leader. We will encounter historical sites like Sassari Cathedral, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, and Giordano Palace.
At a local restaurant in Sassari, we’ll enjoy a set, plated meal featuring regional cuisine plus a glass of wine, mineral water, and coffee; other beverages available for purchase.
We will travel by motorcoach to Castelsardo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. This picturesque town sits on the northern coast, dotted with colorful houses perched on a rocky outcropping overlooking the sea. Castelsardo's main attraction is the Castello dei Doria, dating back to 1102 and home to a museum of basket-weaving, which remains an integral local craft. One of the highlights of the castle is its terrace along the battlements, with dramatic views of the town, the coast, and towards Corsica. We will then return to the hotel for dinner.
