What a great experience to have been in Spain during this historic moment , all made even more memorable because of our wonderful guide, Emma. She imparted her love and knowledge of ,as she called it , her favorite place on the planet. It was a pleasure traveling with her . She was attentive to all our interests and needs and provided the information and insights that added depth to our experience. The itinerary was well balanced , and the local guides were excellent . Their lectures were clear and interesting and I came away with a better understanding and greater appreciation of Spain’s rich history , art and culture. The cooking class and the flamenco performance were great additions to the itinerary and dining out in local restaurants , with generous servings of wine , gave us the local flavor and helped the group become better acquainted. All in all it was a great trip with compatible fellow travelers and an amazing guide.

As a first time user of Road Scholar I enjoyed using the programme , meeting and sharing time with the group. I especially liked the educational content which encouraged me to do considerable reading prior to the tour. Please add The Spanish Civil War by Antony Beevor to your recommended reading list.

This is a great program, the hotels were very comfortable, the food was excellent and our group leader, Thomas was top-notch.

This is the perfect introduction to Spain for those who have never travelled there. Spending 4 full days in each city was a great balance. Not too much "in-between" travel. My first trip to Spain and now I have to do the South!

Barcelona and Madrid at your Pace was a wonderful trip. We learned so much about the contributions in art and architecture that have roots in Spanish history and culture.

This trip was a great mix of art, architecture, and history, all at a comfortable pace. We enjoyed going on the group events and tours, and having some free time to explore the cities. The hotels were great, and the variety of foods was perfect. This was our first trip to Spain, and we are thinking about a second trip to see other parts of the country.

A great Spanish history, architecture, and art tour. Barcelona is a special place.

Road Scholar continues to provide stimulating and challenging programs for many levels of physical ability.

There may a point in life when college is long past but nostalgia increases. Road Scholar fills that longing.

Beautiful country with complex and fascinating history. The guides on our tour were very knowledgeable and passionate about their topics. What a pleasure to get caught up into this culture! The flamenco talk and presentation were riveting and the cooking class wonderful. Gaudi's architectural works were amazing.

Spain is no longer just "another place in Europe" to us. Our lecturers, the places we went and the food we ate all made going there a fantastic adventure!
