I took my first Road Scholar tour. I went as a solo traveler. I had a wonderful time! Great tour, great fellow travelers, great tour guide. I look forward to taking future trips with Road Scholar.

Road Scholar, exceeded my expectations on my recent trip to Spain. We had a very informed, talented and accomplished tour guide. I look forward to my next trip with Road Scholar.

Que Viva Espana! You're going to love Barcelona and Madrid. Did you read Don Quijote? The knight rides again, on the Rocinante known as the Road Scholar.

Just returned from Spain at a Slower Pace. Learned so much, the food and hotel were great! Already planning our next Roads Schlor trip!

This trip was perfect in every way. The leader, Sonia, was delightful, smart, people savvy, organized, and lots of fun. The people in our group were warm, talented and thoughtful. The places we visited were accessible to those who had trouble walking and also interesting to people who are big walkers, and there was always the possibility to strike out on your own. Road Scholar's suggested reading list was, as always, on the money, and I intend to keep learning more about Spanish politics. The lecturers and guides were top notch. Clearly they know their stuff, and they know how to teach too. I'm glad I took the trip and will travel again with Road Scholar.

Wonderful trip. Barcelona is extraordinarily beautiful. The Madrid museums and the guide provided for them were outstanding. The tour guide was excellent and catered to individual's needs and interests.

Spain at a Slower Pace: The Best of Barcelona and Madrid was a delightful experience for me as a solo traveler! We had a wonderful, patient young man as our guide, varied and interesting "adventures" and a great cohesive group of participants. And I must add that the trip went off without a hitch! Perfecto!

Both Barcelona and Madrid were wonderful, but different. Though the schedule was full, the pace was just right. Most of all, the trip was fun and educational.

What a great experience to have been in Spain during this historic moment , all made even more memorable because of our wonderful guide, Emma. She imparted her love and knowledge of ,as she called it , her favorite place on the planet. It was a pleasure traveling with her . She was attentive to all our interests and needs and provided the information and insights that added depth to our experience. The itinerary was well balanced , and the local guides were excellent . Their lectures were clear and interesting and I came away with a better understanding and greater appreciation of Spain’s rich history , art and culture. The cooking class and the flamenco performance were great additions to the itinerary and dining out in local restaurants , with generous servings of wine , gave us the local flavor and helped the group become better acquainted. All in all it was a great trip with compatible fellow travelers and an amazing guide.

As a first time user of Road Scholar I enjoyed using the programme , meeting and sharing time with the group. I especially liked the educational content which encouraged me to do considerable reading prior to the tour. Please add The Spanish Civil War by Antony Beevor to your recommended reading list.

This is the perfect introduction to Spain for those who have never travelled there. Spending 4 full days in each city was a great balance. Not too much "in-between" travel. My first trip to Spain and now I have to do the South!
