I enjoyed the San Antonio trip since we visited the LBJ ranch, walked the Riverwalk and saw The Alamo. I learned a lot about Texas history, the Spanish Missions and the LBJ Presidency. San Antonio a beautiful city.

Having never been to Texas before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had a great experience! The hotel was situated right next to the River Walk and was convenient to several of the sites. The best part, however was learning about the political history and then the contributions made to Texas culture by native people, the Spanish, and the Mexicans.

remembering the Alamo is only one of the many historic sites in San Antonio. Six flags stands for so much more. history comes alive in San Antonio.

San Antonio offers an opportunity to better understand how political and cultural forces shaped the history of one of the most interesting places in our history. In fact the tour provides visits to historical sites as well as time to digest the rich history of a major Texas city.

A very good program. Ginger, our group leader, was excellent, as were the lecturer's on Texas history, LBJ and the San Antonio River. The hotel was very nice, and in the perfect location. It was also nice to have a day in the Hill Country visiting the LBJ Ranch, Fredericksburg and Luckenbach.

San Antonio, TX is a place that I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. When my mother suggested Road Scholar, I was unsure if I would have a good time in such a group. Our trip was just super! We explored the River Walk and environs beyond just as I would have planned myself. Everybody on the trip was kind, generous and fun. I’m a convert to Road Scholar and look forward to taking more trips—maybe even with my teenaged daughter!

San Antonio is a wonderfu ,city. I like that the RiverWalk is right outside our hotel. The history of Texas is multi layered and fascinating. Loved all the LBJ history, house, graveyard. The hill county is beautiful in spring!

We had a great time and learned a lot about Texas history and LBJ. The hotel was in a great location, on the Riverwalk and near many attractions. We enjoyed visiting the Alamo, the Spanish missions, the LBJ ranch, and some museums. The SAGA multi-media show on the front wall of the cathedral was amazing.

Our trip was thoroughly enjoyable. The tour director, Bonnie Simmons, could not have been better. She was knowledgeable, efficient, approachable, and had a clear speaking voice. Our lecturers were interesting and enthusiastic. The hotel was grand. My husband and I had a wonderful trip. Thanks to all.
