We ad difficulty with our room -- tbe windows were extremely "fogged" over and we could see absolutely nothing on the outside. Such a small space and no windows made it extremely uncomfortable and I was very dissatisfied with the whole thing. I thought I had really been sold a bad dream at a very expensive price. No one seemed to care. Then our group leader saw what we had and took action with the staff. The captain had our room changed to one of the better rooms with CLEAR WINDOWS and it made the whole trip much more favorable and enjoyable. They even moved all our personal items from their restung place in the old cabin to the exact same spot in the new cabin. Certainly very professional and pleasing.

We enjoyed our learning vacation: a great combination of cruising, visiting large cities and quaint island, viewing native Americans dances and modern art;. A great mix of activities and experiences. Highly recommend this tour!

I have been on over twelve Road Scholar programs. The Great Lakes program is the best ever. The Leaders were outstanding and worked well, together and individually. The Victory I is a beautiful well appointed and comfortable ship, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

when they said everything was included you really didn't need to bring your purse. It was relaxing while traveling by ship as you didn't have to worry about packing and repacking every day.You always felt safe and in good hands.

So pleased I took this trip. The Victory 1 provided a classy and comfortable venue. Passengers were all Road Scholar who are always inclusive, interesting and fun. The crew treated me so well. The food was wonderful. The entertainment matched our group "to-a-tee". Lectures and land tours added to my knowledge of the area (history, culture, geography). Weather cooperated and was pleasant. Road Scholar team was professional, approachable and friendly. Such a refreshing time with such fine people.

This program is very unique! It provides the participants a nice-sized ship with a friendly, caring and attentive staff. The food is outstanding! The lecturers are knowledgeable and engaging. The subject matter is quite different and varied, from First Nation peoples, nautical experiences as well as, Big City experiences. I strongly recommend!!!!

Road Scholar has always been a premium adventure and seeing the places and the people we meet have been wonderful. The description of each program is adequate for people to plan and to anticipate what involves their own participation.

It was not quite as "easy" as I had thought it would be but it was manageable with a lot of help from the staff and bus drivers.

I would have used the participant list prior to the program if it had been available. A list of participants upon arrival would be helpful to make notes when meeting fellow participants so didn't rely on memory.

Every American should get to know the Great Lakes and their impact on the history of our country. This program helped me to know so much more about the lakes than I had ever hoped to know.
