Morning rides last approximately 2 hours, and afternoon rides last approximately 1 hour. Ride distance and terrain depends on rider experience level and trail type.
In the Chuck House, enjoy a plated breakfast offering a wide variety of daily specials, meats, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, and fruit, plus coffee, tea, milk, juice, water.
This morning we will gather at the pond for group pictures. Next, we’ll meet the wranglers for a riding evaluation and horse assignments for the program. Greenhorn Creek Ranch has over 100 horses – one quarter horses, mustangs, drafts, and a few thoroughbreds. Wranglers will lead a basic riding and safety instruction course to prepare us for fun days of riding ahead. Next we'll head out for our first trail ride! The progressive riding program will help you achieve your riding goals while enjoying the fantastic scenery on the trail.
In the Chuck House, enjoy a family style meal including an entree, sides, and dessert, plus iced tea, lemonade, water; other beverages available for purchase.
Getting to know our horses better, we will enjoy an afternoon trail ride into the beautiful terrain of the High Sierra. Enjoy free time this afternoon after returning from the trail ride. Take this opportunity for personal independent exploration to see and do what interests you most, including fishing in the pond, playing ping pong, throwing horseshoes, or going for a swim in the pool. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions.
