Inspired by the Appalachian Trail, the Israel National Trail is more than 600 miles long and covers the entire length of the country, from the northern border with Lebanon to the Red Sea. For this learning adventure, we’ve picked the best sections of the trail — parts that zigzag through archaeological sites, biblical landscapes, ancient cities and places of stunning natural beauty. This is a special opportunity to not only learn about the renowned sites of the Holy Land, but to experience the sublime and often-overlooked beauty of the wilderness of Israel.
