Have your own enriching experience of Seville — Sevilla in Spanish — on this immersive six-week adventure. Stay in an apartment, learn to “hablar español” in daily language classes and get to know the city and its proud Andalusian culture intimately. Throughout your stay, you’ll be supported by a Road Scholar Group Leader who’s on call to help.

If there is a better way to start learning a language, I have not found it yet. This RS immersion program was the best! The program presented so many opportunities for learning outside of the classroom, weekend trips to other cities (the hotels were VERY nice!) and cultural experiences that went far beyond any I had during shorter trips to or through a country. As always, the group leader was Top Notch! Silvia was brilliant, energetic, exceptionally kind and organized...And just a great human being! Our Spanish instructor had an excellent command of English, a love of her country and its language only a Nacido Sevillano could possess, and the patience of a saint. Of course I'm not fluent in Spanish after only six weeks of instruction, but I have a good foundation on which to build (which I intend to do). Lastly, the group who shared this journey with me was the absolute BEST. Whether it will be in Spanish or English, in the US (or Canada, PW) or again in Spain, I look forward to speaking with them and/or getting together for years to come.

This was one of the best trips that I have taken in my life. It was extremely well organized, with a nice balance of scheduled activities and free time. The group leader, Covadonga Hortal, has the perfect skills and personality for her job, and the Spanish language teachers were wonderful. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in Spanish language and culture.

What a wonderful experience! The program was fun, educational and life changing. Our group leader, Covadonga Hortal, was the best tour guide I've ever had. She knew about the history, art, architecture and current events of the area in great detail, and was more than generous with her time and knowledge. I feel like this program opened up a new world for me.

Seville is a wonderful, charming place, and the program makes it possible to live in a lovely apartment right in the heart of the old city. The program is well run and a nice mix of cultural talks or experiences, language classes, and free time. The program director, Sofia Cruz, was superb. There are many cafes and restaurants to enjoy either near the apartment or near the school, and of course it's fun to purchase food locally and cook in the apartment. There is a fair amount of walking on uneven pavements and cobblestones, but it is certainly reasonable for almost all persons. The language classes are intensive (and long: 10 am to 1:30 pm, with a half hour break). What I remember most fondly is the fragrance of the orange blossoms all around the city. It's a great winter get-away for those of us from cold places. Our particular program was cut short by the coronavirus shutdown in Spain and the US, but I would certainly like to experience this program again in Seville another time.

I absolutely loved this program, if you are having any doubts, don't worry, just go ( but I would study spanish prior so that one has a good foundation, since the language classes dive right in and get you speaking spanish immediately) RS does any amazing job on all levels; from the guides, to accommodations, to food, to transportation, to experiences

Our teachers were excellent. Meeting with a Speaking Partner accelerated my speaking ability. I explored other cities in Spain independently. If you wish to improve your Spanish, this program is for you. L Holloway

This trip was exceptional. The group leader was prepared and worked hard to keep everyone happy. Saville was a beautiful city and its culture was astonishing. The food was hit or miss with the tapas being a bit of a disappointment. In the nicer restaurants they were terrific but the smaller restaurant you were better off ordering a meal. The apartment was livable but the kitchen was not equipped for anything but fried food and cold lunches. It was centrally located . The description of gthe program said it was walking 2-3 miles a day but it actually was much more like 4-6 and some days more. ALL IN ALL A WONDERFUL TRIP.
