Beginning in the Sri Lankan commercial hub of Colombo and ending on a privately chartered houseboat on southern India’s rural Kerala backwaters, explore the subcontinent’s magnificent cities, hidden villages and unspoiled wilderness. Experience mystical shrines and imposing fortresses, learn about the Asian elephant and observe these giants in nature, and interact with villagers living by traditional means in the Indian and Sri Lankan wilds.
