We enjoyed the beauty of Sicily while hiking. From coastal views to valleys and a hike with views of a temple in the distance. We also learned about salt making, ruins, Belize earthquake, agriculture, wine making and the people that have inhabited Sicily over the centuries. Very interesting while spending a lot of time outdoors.

Great program! Enjoyed having Irene as our tour coordinator. Western Sicily did not disappoint in any way— beautiful scenery, interesting history, delicious food and wine!

I liked this Road Scholar Sicily trip very much for many reasons. Our leader, Irene, was pleasant, well organized and informed, had a nice sense of humor, and was fluent in English. Our other guides were also fun and informative. The sights were breath-taking and some were unique. The pace was good in that challenging days and easy days alternated. There were options for some who did not want to do certain hikes. The food was delicious. The rooms were large. All in all it was a great vacation.

Sicily is a beautiful island. The hiking wasn't overly challenging which allowed us to fully take in the beauty of the coasts and mountains. There was a good balance between city/historical tours and hiking. The food was overwhelming in quantity and we got to taste a wide variety of local foods. Our guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a fun trip!

Fantastic hiking by the sea and inland. Delicious meals with plenty of wine. And a chance to make new friends.
