If you are interested in England and Wales, history and cherish the countryside and small towns, you will appreciate and enjoy this tour. At the same time, it provides sufficient diversity to preclude any risk of boredom.

We have never traveled and this program made it so easy!!! They take care of everything. I definitely recommend Road scholar for first time travelers out of the country and I will definitely be a return traveler.

Our guide and all of the scholars communicated not only their knowledge, but their bone-deep love of their land. We visited castles and hamlets, watched mountain dogs train and the sun set into the Irish sea. The formal programs were just the beginning of the learning experience -- casual conversation veered from bad pub jokes to fishing regulations, volunteerism in the UK, fashion at the royal wedding, horticulture and bees, and why you don't buy "garage flowers." Enough "on your own time" to explore, but plenty of guidance. I learned from the other participants, too.

Best of England and Wales is a fine program. We got perspective on a class society, on the wealth of royalty and nobility, on the mystery of Shakespeare, on the life of a slate miner, and on the natural beauty of both England and Wales,

All our guides were excellent & up to the high standards set by Road Scholar. The ruggedness of the "Lake District" Surprised me somehow as did all the sheep--everywhere!!

This program is an excellent way to see and experience the parts of England and Wales outside of London.

The trip to England and Wales is delightful. We got to see many places we have dreamed about and the staff was exceedingly good. We came home refreshed and excited.

I learned so much about England and Wales, didn't know much before I went. I especially enjoyed Wales and the Lake District of the UK.

This is a first-class program for those who want to combine travel, education and fun. Everything my wife and I experience with Roads Scholar was conceived and carried out at very high standard of performance. The attention to detail - - expecially in the pre-departure stage, makes this a top travel-vacation option especially for seniors of every educational experience.

This program was very active, yet very pleasant. All of the guides and our group leader were a joy. If you have already seen London, this tour of Windsor, Stratford, the Cotswolds, north Wales, and the Lake District is a great way to see a different side of the United Kingdom.
