This is a very interesting program to get you acquainted with Paris and how to get around efficiently. The Normandy portion is a wonderful way to see just some of what WWII soldiers encountered......and the boat trip was a a very nice way to return to Paris, visit places and learn along the way..

This program was wonderful! Being my first trip to France, it was a great survey of Paris, Normandy and Impressionism. Our guide, Bill Snowden, was excellent.

Grand variety of Paris and Normandy attractions. The long boat cruise along the Seine is picturesque and smooth. Walk along Omaha Beach, snap photos of beautiful and quaint Honfleur, take in breathtaking views of Rouen Cathedral during the day and at night. And you'll be captivated by Monet's house and gardens. All carefully choreographed by the Road Scholar team and conducted by the program guide.

This was our first Road Scholar adventure. There will definitely be more in our future.

This program provides a very good overview of Paris. Adding a day to spend at Versailles if the fountains are on would be a plus (We did this on our own before the program). The Normandy landing site portion was inspirational, Giverny was beautiful, and the riverboat provided a restful and efficient way to tie the trip together.

Road Scholar is organized and a great group to interact with. Their trips are welled planed with education included. You can prepare by doing the readings or you can show up and learn as you go! In this day of uncertainty I never once thought about my safety. Knowledge group leader with accommodations that surpassed my expectations

"The Best of the Seine River From Normandy to Paris" is a great opportunity for you to learn about history, Paris, Normandy and many sites in between. The guides are great and they strive to give you a very enjoyable experience. This program met and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see and learn about key sites of Paris and sites of the Normandy region.

Once you are able to navigate the Charles DeGaulle Airport the rest of this trip that furthers you acquaintance of Impressionist Art, Paris by day and night, the history and tragedy of World War II that occurred on Omaha Beach and surrounding areas provides a fascinating experience. Of course, what can I say about French food that has not been stated before by many persons in many ways. The food is delightful and the desserts are absolutely enticing. The beauty and calmness of a cruise back down the Seine from Honfleur in Normandy to Paris is in sharp contrast to the snarled traffic and frayed nerves of too many on their way to work. This trip was made especially meaningful by our great tour guide, Bill Snowden, who has the rare quality of providing careful leadership because he cares for the people with whom he is leading. NO matter how many times you go to Paris you will always find it presents new challenges. As witness to that, Paris had a one-afternoon massive demonstration which allowed us to have a 3-4 km walk back to our hotel in the rain because the taxi could get no closer due to blocked streets. We were not singing in the rain but we did walk along several km of demonstration on one side of us with those sitting inside small cafes sipping their coffee and wine as they watched the demonstration unfold. The only violence emanated from an occasional streak of lightning or roll of thunder. and wine as they watched the demonstration unfold.

This is a great program! The experience is awesome! The activity level is just right and you get to see and experience Paris and the Normandy region in a very meaningful way. The history and sites are great to see and learn about. The tour guides are great and wonderful to talk with. Road Scholar has done a great job with this program! I highly recommend it!

Just came back from the Road Scholars trip to Paris and Normandy with the boat ride from Honfleur to Paris. Every aspect of the trip was well planned with so many sights to see. The first three days were spent in Paris touring most of the places I have only read about. Enjoyed visiting the Louvre and especially enjoyed the stained glass windows at St. Chappelle. All of our meals were impeccable. Especially the gourmet meals on the Seine Princess as we headed for Paris after an emotional experience visiting our "Fallen Heroes" at Normandy. Visited some small towns along the way and spent time walking through the Gardens at Giverny seeing what Monet painted in his gardens. If Paris is on the list of things for you to do and you are interested in learning about France then this is the trip to take. And if you are lucky and get Bill as your group leader, you will have a wonderful time. And, don't worry, the boat ride is smooth and for me very calming. Andy K.

A most enjoyable program that covered a lot of territory. Busy days in Paris followed by a visit to Normandy D-Day sights, then delightful boat cruise on the Seine with excellent field trips along the way. The food and wine were excellent. Bill was an excellent group leader and we had several outstanding local guides. One of the best groups I've been with, most welcoming and fun.

My first Road Scholar experience and it was a great experience. Strongly recommend it if ever considered it.

Take this tour with Pauline. One more day in Normandy and this would have been the perfect experience. Floating through Paris at night, with the Eiffel tower all aglow, enjoying another five star dinner aboard the CroisiEurope MS Seine Princess is worth the whole trip.

The Road Scholar programs are well organized, and educational to the max. I learned a lot with my participation.
