Wow! This was my first Road Scholar trip and it was absolutely wonderful. So impressed with the exceptional instructors who truly enjoyed sharing their knowledge of this beautiful historic area with us. The program was so well planned. the perfect amount of teaching, experiencing, free time, etc. Plus excellent meals and accommodations. Planning my next RS trip now!

This trip was so enjoyable with great people leading the groups, interesting field trips, plenty of time in the outdoors, with free time for yourself. The attendees were a fu group of people. The hiking boating were great; and to be free of the phone and technology was a pleasure. On top of all that, the food was very good!

This program provided the unique opportunity of staying at Great Camp Sagamore and visiting other Great Camps over a period of several days. It allows the Adirondack experience to "sink in" in a way that a 1-2 hour tour simply cannot.

I don't like to do this.

Learn about the Gilded Age; live at a great camp; feel the peacefulness of a bygone era!

Great trip. A "snapshot" of the more rustic aspects of The Gilded Age. Got to see them and actually live in them!

Here's your chance to stay in an historic home of the Vanderbilt's and to experience roughing it the woods with staff to take care of all the basics. Nothing beats having your own private lake (already outfitted with canoes) secluded in the woods and right at your doorstep.

Just completed a week at the Great Camps of Raquette Lake-- Camp Sagamore. All the participants were friendly, welcoming and helpfu. The Camp itself is just breathtaking!! Takes you back to the early 1900's.

We enjoyed the entire experience and learned a great deal about the entire Adirondack area. Although having been through that area and hiking in that general region before, we knew very little of its rich history.
