Willa Elizabeth Schmidt
Willa Elizabeth Schmidt writes fiction, memoirs and poetry. Her work has been published in many journals including Bellevue Literary Review, Calyx, Kalliope, Potomac Review and Passages North. Her writing has won awards from the Wisconsin Academy Review, the Writers Workshop of Asheville and most recently took first prize in the Iron Horse Literary Review Trifecta. Willa holds a Ph.D. in German Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She worked as a reference librarian at the UW Memorial Library, a position she held for twenty-five years.
