The Great American Get-Togethet in Santa Fe is truly fabulous! Whether you have visited Santa Fe previously or your first time in the area, this Road Scholar program provides much interesting learning along with exciting field trips!! It’s a wonderful week!

Witnessing a Pueblo dance ceremony was the highlight of the trip. It was delightful to see up close the dance costumes. In addition, the people were very friendly and even invited us to share a meal with them.

Excellent pace. Outstanding leaders. Speakers expert in their fields and great presenters. Good location of hotel. Excursions complemented the lectures and gave us a fresh perspective of the Puebloan Peoples culture and spirituality. Although Meow Wolf is an asset for Santa Fe's arts community I would have preferred it as an option on our free day. Although interesting, it seemed over hyped. The dinner on the last night was OUTSTANDING!!!! Thanks. Meredith Censullo

The Great American Get-Together in Santa Fe was incredible as an educational, cultural, and social experience. I don't participate in organized tours, and I wanted to give one a try. I'm so glad I selected this one. I recommend it highly for people who prefer organized tours vs. self-organized trips.

This was a great trip. I learned a lot about Native American culture .

Learned a great deal about the native culture, cooking and Georgia O'Keefe while meeting interesting, educated people who had traveled the world. Food was excellent. Guides were not interested in getting to know us, having a meal to share or asking us about what we have to share. That has been a wonderful opportunity to learn about why other people come to Road Scholar which was missing this time. Also suggest making sure there are enough opportunities for everyone to make a purchase of cookbooks, etc. when a large group lecture is presented. Sold out by the time my group was "allowed" to step up to the presenter. I had an emergency with a lost crown the first night and when I asked for help from the guides, no one offered anything. All I was told was that they were not allowed to drive me anywhere. I had to walk, at night in the pouring rain to find a drug store five blocks away to get some relief. Luckily, one of the participants offered to walk with me to be safe. It would have been safer to at least have one of the men walk with me in a strange neighborhood a distance to get some help. Hope that the guides would have been more helpful. Luckily, the pharmacy gave me something to use which saved my vacation. They didn't even ask how things were going...not too interested.

This program was enjoyable. We found it to be incredibly organized for the size of the group. Meals were superior. Our group leader Mark, was interesting and also caring. He provided information about Santa Fe based on his years working there. Accommodations at the Eldorado Hotel are great and the hotel staff was very nice. Field trips were educational and entertaining, and the landscape was phenomenal! Thanks for an exceptional experience!

Highly recommend Santa Fe Gathering... very nice trip. Opportunities to learn about Santa Fe culture and food.

I selected Road Scholar for the educational immersion into the culture of the area but was not looking forward to being herded around in a group of old people. I could not have been more wrong. What a diverse group of VERY interesting, educated, and mobile group! I am looking forward to booking a second trip!

The Road Scholar program at Sante Fe was educational, entertaining, and overall a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend this program to anyone who has an interest in the American West.

What a wonderful program! Couldn't be better. Looking forward to my next trip!

If you have never been to Santa Fe, this get-together will be a fine introduction to this beautiful city.

Visiting Santa Fe and environs was a truly enlightening experience. I reveled in being in the company of such nice, intelligent and warm-hearted people.

This trip was wonderful. I learned quite a bit. I did not realize until this trip, that when my father was in the service, he was stationed and worked at Los Alamos on the Manhattan Project. The other road scholars were very nice, the best group I have been with yet, very congenial. The leaders were great. I especially like the free time to explore on my own. Go while you have the chance.

We found the "Great American Get-Together in Santa Fe" most enjoyable and highly recommend the lectures and field trips to anyone interested in Georgia O'Keefe and Native American Arts and Culture.

Fantastic! A Road Scholar trip to Santa Fe is a must do opportunity. Although the Great American Get Together is a very large group initially, everyone is divided into more intimate groups of 20 or so. Lectures and hotel meals include everyone and it lends the opportunity to meet people outside one's smaller group. The remainder of the time is with your smaller group. The field trips are most interesting and the motor coach goes through beautiful landscapes on your travels. The Drury Hotel and its staff was fabulous. The Road Scholar staff and lecturers were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The meals provided were very good. Breakfast buffet at the hotel became a bit monotonous. Know that there are 2 excellent French cafes within a 5 min walk from the hotel. Santa Fe itself is like no other. This was my second Road Scholar Trip to Santa Fe and I look forward to another.

this was my first Road Scholar trip. I am considering taking another outside of the US but not sure where just yet.

The Great American Get-Together in Santa Fe was exhilirating and rewarding. Excellent accomodations and food and an exciting mix of activities, lectures, and trips all created an even better than expected experience. Our group leader, Mark, was welcoming and very knowledgeable. It is difficult to pick out one activity since all were very rewarding--museums, Bandelier, pueblos, Ghost Ranch, cooking school among them. We heartily recommend this trip. I wanted and needed a vacation at that time of the year. it met my needs extremely well. I learned and experienced a great deal and still was able to relax and enjoy every aspect of the program.

Trip to Santa Fe was delightful, very well organized, excellent staff, accommodations the best, great food, a week of blue skies and art everywhere in New Mexico.

I would repeat this program...however, there are so many more trips to plan.

The accomodations/hotel Drury on this trip are superb. Highly recommend this trip.

This was our first Road Scholar trip it will definitely be the first of many. Thanks for the experience
