Afternoon: Registration and welcome in retreat center lobby.

Dinner: Dinner is a buffet-style meal served in the Maranatha Retreat Center Dining Room. Our guests will meet in the lobby for instructions. Our goal is to serve our guests healthy and delicious food featuring local tastes and recipes.

Evening: Orientation session includes an overview of the program ahead, the schedule, our facilities, safety procedures, and any other administrative issues. Please be aware that local circumstances may require adjusting program elements. In the event of changes we will notify you as quickly as possible via the SPI, and we appreciate your understanding. We will also spend some time becoming better acquainted with participants and program staff. The session will be followed by an ice cream sundae bar.

Amish & Mennonites Lecture, Lititz Moravian Church

Black Rock Retreat

Breakfast: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Morning: Jump right into learning with an interesting and extensive history of the Amish and Mennonites with Professor Brinton Rutherford.

Lunch: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Afternoon: Board a coach and depart for tours of the Lititz Moravian Church and Ephrata Cloisters.

Dinner: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Evening: Local author and speaker, Darvin Martin, will share a look at the historic relationship between the Native Americans and local people of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Downtown Lancaster City, Central Market, Amish Home Dinner

Breakfast: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Morning: Leave on charter bus for Downtown Lancaster City. Our day will include a walking tour of the city as well as historic Lancaster Central Market.

Lunch: Lunch on your own in Lancaster City.

Afternoon: Visit an Amish Quilt Shop and tour the beautiful Lancaster countryside with our Amish Mennonite tour guide. She will share stories of her childhood growing up in an Old Order Amish family.

Dinner: Enjoy dinner in an Old Order Amish Home.

Evening: Return after dinner to relax and spend time with fellow participants in the spacious lobby or surrounding retreat center grounds.

Quaker lecture and free time.

Morning: Popular speaker and local theologian Brinton Rutherford will lecture "Quakers In Our Midst" - history and present day beliefs.

Lunch: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Afternoon: Free time.

Dinner: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Evening: Evening video presentation followed by an opportunity to make (and eat) your own soft pretzel.

Herr House, Underground Railroad Lecture

Morning: Leave on bus for a guided tour of the Hans Herr House and Indian Longhouse.

Lunch: Boxed lunch.

Afternoon: Focus on history of African Americans in Lancaster. Take a ride on the Undergroud Railroad with local historian Randall Harris.

Dinner: Buffet-style meal served in the Retreat Center dining room.

Evening: Light Snack served in the Dining Room.
