I am happy to write a review about the Road Scholar trip to Croatia. Everything was very well organized, as is typical of Road Scholar. The MV Black Swan is the ultimate in luxury, there was time for whatever we wanted to do—learn, listen, discuss, explore, shop, people watch, etc. Best of all was the enthusiasm of our guide, Matija. His desire that we learn about his country and understand its history was evident in everything he said. He has a good sense of humor, a witty and quick intelligence, and it is clear he was interested in the members of our group as individuals and was doing his best to be a good guide. He shared some of his life with us, which made everything we learned more memorable.

This was a fantastic trip for my wife and I, the coastline of Croatia was beautiful and lent itself to many great pictures. Getting in and off the yacht was easy and we kept in shape by walking around several coastal cities seeing the many sites. Lectures were informative and our guides were very informative. All meals were wonderful, but the 7 days on the yacht with the same chef was outstanding. A must see/do trip!!!!

A visit to Croatia will bring alive the history of tumultuous times in an ancient part of our world. Be prepared to eat well in very comfortable accommodations, this a an experience most people only dream of having.

This was a wonderful chance to learn about a part of the world you might not otherwise know anything about. Most people can't locate Croatia on a map much less have an understanding of its long and interesting history. I feel like I can do both now. The old cities, with histories back to the Greeks and Romans were interesting with many opportunities for exploration. The MY Futura was a luxurious home for 8 days. What a wonderful chef!

I have attended several Road Scholar trips and have never been disappointed with my experiences. I especially appreciate the fact that the costs are reasonable and that there is never an extra expense that was not anticipated. I always end my trips feeling like I have gained valuable knowledge about another part of the world.

This is a wonderful trip. The time on the boat is relaxing and the small towns we went to on the islands were great to explore without the crowds of some of the mainland cities.

What fun to travel on such a small boat; 24 participants, our group leader, and 7 crew. Sitting on deck, often by myself, as the world slid by, was a great way to recharge between our visits to several small islands, and, everywhere, were the beautiful mountains.

This was the best Road Scholar trip yet. The Adriatic is beautiful--even more so than the Med or the Caribbean. The vessel was beautiful, immaculately kept, and staff was outstanding.

I very highly recommend traveling with Road Scholar. Their trips are very well organized. The planning is just perfect. Their instructors are highly skilled and informative. We just took a trip including accommodations and travel in a very nice yacht (The Black Swan) in Croatia and Montenegro. Mirela was the instructor and she was magnificent.

Laura
(5)

Wonderful trip on the Black Swan. Our Group Leader Mirela did an amazing job. Croatia is a beautiful and interesting country. I enjoyed the small islands Mljet, Korcula, Sipan and the towns of Starigard and Sibenik the most.

Croatia is a fantastic destination, but it's been DISCOVERED! Best to travel there in shoulder, or off-peak, seasons. But do go,...it won't disappoint!!!

This was a wonderful trip in so many ways. The Dalmation Coast and islands are stunningly beautiful. The program manager and all the local guides were knowledgeable and engaged the group. The yacht was a great experience. The captain, as well as his wife and crew, were very welcoming and interactive with the group. The stops in isolated coves for swimming was wonderful. I have nothing negative to say and recommend this trip to all.

As an experienced off shore sailboat sailer, being aboard the 100 foot plus luxury motor yacht was a superb experience. The highlights were many - visual, culture-educative, social, and of course we did have amazing weather so the daily swims were the greatest! For those who are bran dependent for breakfast, suggest you bring your own as our dietary experience was bran deprived.

This trip was a delight! The scenery in this area is breathtakingly beautiful. Our group leader, Luci, was fantastic (as has been every group leader on our previous five Road Scholar trips!) Our boat, Futura, provided very pleasant accommodations, including the amazing and beautifully presented meals. We visited many interesting and ancient towns, heard very interesting talks given by experts in their fields, and enjoyed the company of a very compatible group of Road Scholar fellow travelers! All in all, a delightful trip!

An outstanding trip that provides substantial insight into the history of Croatia and the overall Balkan region. Excellent excursions, quality accommodation, and a most enjoyable week of travelling be motor yacht after and prior to the main shore-based components.

We're glad that we selected the Best of Croatia tour. It was highly educational and a lot of fun and we give it 5 stars. Alan Damjanic is a superb tour guide from a knowledge and personality perspective. We found his lectures and comments easy to understand, relevant, and interesting. On the other hand, he did not provide enough logistical information and we were not always sure what was going to happen. For example: just how long will this bus ride take and will there be rest rooms available? Our other day guides were very good and, although we don’t remember their names, the guides for Split, Hvar and Kotor stood out. The hotels on both ends were excellent: good locations, excellent rooms and amenities, and good- sized, quality rooms The crew on the MV Barbara was fantastic and we enjoyed the company of the other travelers. There was ample space on deck to find a place to read or talk with a fellow traveller. Food was OK, not excellent. However, it was acceptable given the limited facilities that the chef had to create meals every day for passengers and crew. Road Scholar did not give us good information about the accommodation on the MV Barbara. We were told by them (twice) that there was not much difference between the upstairs cabins and those down below but the actual difference was huge. After seeing both we were most grateful that there was one available in the upper section and we were able to be moved. It was well worth the extra money and uplifted our whole vacation. Even though the room was tiny, it had a door and a window (both of which opened) as opposed to a tiny porthole downstairs. The locations chosen for the tours on shore were very good and, although we don’t know what the choices were for the trip planner, we wouldn’t make any changes. The highlights of the tour for us were Stari Grad, Split, and Kotor, but we enjoyed all the stops. The fact that we could swim in the Adriatic made it even more special.

Beautiful country. Very crowded in cities. Seemed like walking among herds of people speaking different languages. I enjoyed Our small group of members who was very friendly and helpful and fun. Smaller islands were scenic and serene. Not much to do but to scroll along seashore after touring local historic stops. I recommend This program for people who like history, walking, swimming and sailing, although we only sailed with the motors on. The captain only hoisted the sails as a demonstration. Not many local products to purchase for the shoppers. Tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful.

Our Croatia + Montenegro adventure on the Barbara was the best. Alan Damjanic, our guide was great. We appreciated his general good humor, genuine interest in each person in our group as well as his informative and interesting presentations. He lead our tour just right in all ways. The crew of the Barbara was very accomplished and professional. The skill of Captain Kuzman and his sailors, Ivan and Mario, was exceptional and made us feel secure on the water. Chef Nica and Sous Chef Zdenka did a great job in the ship's kitchen. We were all fed well. Snjezana was very helpful and I thank her for solving our mattress problem quickly and efficiently. She is a smart and innovative young woman. All in all it was a very memorable and pleasant experience.

A "total immersion" in the local history and culture of the southern Dalmatian coast with knowledgeable local guides, well-organized itinerary, low-hassle logistics and an outstanding trip leader.

Martha
(5)

This program was a fun, exciting way to learn about an area of the world that I knew very little about. Our group leader was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent lectures on a variety of topics. In each city and on every island we had a local guide to give us a city tour and local information. The My Barbara was a great way to travel, I felt very little motion from the boat. The staterooms are small but comfortable and there are 2 public areas to hang out in (one inside and one out) plus plenty of deck chairs for relaxing. My husband and I are vegetarian and we had no problems with our meals, either on or off the boat. This was a great way to enjoy the beauty of Croatia!

Fred

We had a great time with our coordinator, crew, and fellow tour participants. The trip was fun, entertaining, and extremely educational.

The Best of Croatia trip by sailing yacht was a truly special experience. The pace was active with informative walking visits on several historic islands but there was also relaxing time on the ship. Another high quality Road Scholar experience.

This was my first trip with Road Scolar and my first solo European trip. It was wonderful. Five of our 21 Croatian travellers took the Extension to Zagreb. We were so pleased that we did because the waterfalls of Plitvice National Park are amazing and beautiful. May 12 to 27 was a great time to travel weather-wise with only two rainy cool days. There were fewer groups of other tourists as well. The MY Cassanova is a lovely small ship with a crew of family members who's hospitality is outstanding. Our guide, Marina, shared her knowledge of her country and skillfully handled all details. She was fantastic. The RS program itself included just the right balance of touring, lectures, cultural programs and free time. The people are warm and friendly and the scenery is beautiful in this culturally and histirically rich country. Some our group came ahead of the trip to acclimate to the time zone changes and rest but I was happy to have RS make my travel arrangements and glad that our guide met us at Zagreb Airport and immediately solved a lost luggage problem. Our lectures were fascinating, the ethnic music outstanding, our group was welcoming and the "off the beaten path" experiences all that I could have hoped for. I will take another RS trip as a solo asap! KLS

(5)

Excellent program with just the right mixture of organized touring and lectures and opportunities for individual exploration in each of the locations. Both the hotels and the ship were exceptional, clean and comfortable. Our tour guide, Ivan, shared a wealth of information about growing up and living in Croatia and our local guides were all excellent. The itinerary allows time to explore the various ports in the evening unlike cruise ships that leave in the afternoon or very early evening.

Elaine
(5)

What a perfect way to get to know Croatia! The MY Futura was the perfect “hotel” for 7 nights as we sailed from island to island. The four course meals were amazing and the entire staff went out of their way to make our voyage a memorable one. Juge was a great guide and our small group of 24 made it possible to make new friends. We lucked out with no rain and perfect weather conditions in late April/early May. The spring flowers were beautiful and the water was pristine. If you’ve been considering a trip to Croatia, this is a perfect way to experience Croatian history and culture. It will not be my last trip to this amazing country.

Corliss

Trip of a lifetime! The M/Y Barbara was the perfect home with excellent meals. Hats off to the hard working crew! Alan, our guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about his country.

Carolyn
(5)

I loved this trip. I would recommend it for anyone that wants to explore Croatia at its best. the yacht experience was amazing and the food was truly exceptional. The small number of participants made this trip very interesting. I felt like it was the perfect social experiment in one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen.

Croatia is a beautiful place. It`s quite hilly with a lot of steps. I`m eighty and it wore me out. But, I`m glad I went.

food - inconsistent, mostly not up to standards dinners were the big problem guide - knowledgeable, friendly but did not always appear to care. Our group often did not understand what to do or what we were going to do. we often felt we spent time going back to places we had see to have "free time"

Diana
(5)

What better way to see the country of 1,000 islands than by yacht? The MS Barbara is unique and was very comfortable for our group of 14. The two hotels were excellent and perfectly located. And our leader Jana was top notch. There are a lot of cobblestones and stairs without railings in the towns, so consider a walking stick. And the extension to Plitvice National Park and the capital city of Zagreb is well worth it if you have the time.

Ken
(5)

This program was the perfect combination of educational information and free time to enjoy these beautiful seaport cities up close. Croatia is an amazing, beautiful country. The ship MY Futura was just perfect in every way. A wonderful home for 8 days. Our program director Ivan was the perfect host. Knowledgeable, informative, helpful, and someone who loves his country and helping us love it as well. This is a wonderful program.

Carole
(5)

This was the trip of a lifetime. If you are fortunate enough to get our guide Ivan Bobar, you will be blessed. He’s knowledgeable, has a great personality, went above and beyond to please all guests on the trip. I would take another trip with Ivan as leader. I’m glad that I went at the end of April, beginning of May, before the big cruise ships arrived. I took the pre trip, starting in Zagreb and loved starting out I. Zagreb going to Dubrovnik. I was a single and thoroughly enjoyed all participants on our tour. Absolutlothe best trip to an unexplored region of the world. Guides were unbelievably knowledgeable, food above five star ratin. Our ship, the Futura immaculate, new outstanding. All in all an amazing experience traveling with Road Scholars. Can’t say enough great things about my experience. Loved it!

(5)

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Croatia is a sophisticated European country where many people spoke at least some English, making it comfortable to visit, but foreign enough to be interesting.

Richard
(5)

I highly recommend this program, particularly the program leader Marina, and the MV Barbara. Croatia is a fascinating nation, beautiful, historic, interesting and not well understood by Americans. This program opened my eyes to all of this.

Rita
(5)

I completed the survey after my 1st time exceptional trip with Road Scholar. I was unable to submit the portion referring a friend. Would not accept any address outside of the USA. My friend is in St. John's Newfoundland Canada. I live in Ontario Canada

Nancy
(5)

An excellent small-group expedition to a less familiar part of Europe. The scenery is wonderful, the history fascinating, the guides informative. The old cities we explored can only be seen on foot, so there's a fair amount of walking involved, but it's well worth it!

Nancy
(5)

The trip went way beyond expectations and could not have been better. The MV Futura was fabulous, the crew terrific and the chef five star, plus, plus, plus.

We recently returned from Croatia: Coastal Voyage by Yacht. This trip was incredible!! Just Go!! M/Y Futura is a wonderful vessel in every way. Great food, great crew!! Highly recommend this RS trip!

Anne
(5)

The trip to Montenegro and Croatia was my favorite Road Scholar trip so far. We learned so much about both the far and recent past of this area of the world and saw such amazing places. The time aboard the yacht was a change and enabled us to see the islands up close. I strongly recommend this program.

Susan
(5)

The Croatia by Sea Trip was comfortable, fun, informative and extremely interesting. It exceeded all my expectations

Nancy
(4)

The Dalmation coast is incredibly beautiful and the opportunity to visit the islands and coast on a boat was great. I found the trip too heavily weighted to visiting multiple old towns that were heavily swarmed with tourists and a barrage of historical information, and would have preferred more time in the countryside and lakes and forests and more opportunities to interact with the Croation people.

Alexandra
(5)

Road Scholar program was just the right mix of history, politics, different activities and exposure to the culture of Croatia and the surrounding area. The food, transportation and attention to travel details make Road Scholar a cut above many other tour venues. The small group (we had 21) was a definite plus.

Linda
(5)

This was our first trip with Road Scholar, and it met our expectations in all respects. We enjoyed traveling this way, with the support of experienced and knowledgeable local guides throughout our tour, and the camaraderie of fellowship with our traveling companions. We felt very much like a big family, traveling together throughout the country. Road Scholar gave us an informative experience in Croatia, a look beneath the one-dimensional, superficial view that is afforded the big-ship cruiser on a shore trip.

Sigrid
(5)

The Best of Croatia by Yacht was a wonderful experience! The scenery and history is wonderful and we enjoyed having the "Barbara" as our home for 7 days. I would recommend the fall as the weather was beautiful and the crowds not as bad as summer. Well done!

Janet
(5)

This program was beyond awesome especially when combined with the pre extension to the capital and lakes done ahead of time it was perfect in every detail.

Roberta
(5)

I would highly recommend this program. It is a great way to see the Dalmatian coast.

Norma
(5)

This trip exceeded my expectations. Pictures of Croatia cannot do it justice; only by seeing it in person can one appreciate its stunning beauty. The balance of education, seeing and experiencing, and free time was just right for me.

Ruth

This was a beautiful small boat trip filled with delightful staff and congenial guests. The itinerary was varied and relaxing in a history rich location with informative lectures, beautiful scenery, and wonderful food.

There could be no better way to experience the Dalmation Coast than on the M.S. Futura. The yacht was clean and comfortable and the young staff members were attentive and personable. We can't say enough about the Chef who produced meals that were imaginative, delicious and beautifully presented. In addition to time in Dubrovnik and Split we visited islands with stunning scenery - stopped for swimming opportunities along the way - and even had lunch at a local Dalmation Village! Group Leader Alan Damjanic shared his extensive knowledge of the history and culture of the area. He and the local guides truly showed us the "Best of Croatia". Road Scholar met - and exceeded - our expectations once again!

Martha
(5)

Loved my time on a small yacht in Croatia on the beautiful Adriatic Sea.

Alice
(5)

A really fantastic trip. I very much appreciated the educational component as Croatia is a country with a complex history and our trip leader (Jana Stepic) and the other speakers were able to address all the twists and turns including the dark days of the Bosnian war in what felt like an unbiased way. I thought there was a good balance of walking tours with (for the most part) really impressive guides and free time to explore on our own. Although I wouldn't call our ship a luxury vessel, I thought it was clean and sufficient to meet our needs. Because the ship was limited to only our fellow Road Scholars it gave us a chance to know each other and Jana and develop friendships. This is my second Road Scholar trip and I'm already looking forward to my third.

Jacqueline
(5)

This was my first trip with Road Scholar. I traveled by myself and knew no one Prior to the start of the trip and I had a very enjoyable trip. The others on the tour were very Interesting people and I enjoyed our conversations.

Melva
(5)

Croatia is a beautiful country and the experience on the Futura exceeded my wildest expectations. The tour director was excellent, the crew and captain were friendly, hardworking and fun to be with. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. I can't say enough about this experience. I've learned so much about Croatia and its history Treat yourself to an informative, visual and social adventure.

Bill
(5)

This was my first Road Scholar trip. I will be taking many more in the years to come. The quality of the entire experience was outstanding.

Denise
(5)

Sailing on the MV Futura was the perfect way to explore the extraordinarily beautiful Croatian coast. No long days sitting on buses or packing and unpacking bags. The crew is FANTASTIC and included a top-notch chef who seemed to outdo himself every day.

John
(5)

One word: GO! From tackling the immense complexities of Croatian history to sipping local wine under the walls of a 1700 year-old emperor's place to enjoying a shipboard sunset over the impossibly blue Adriatic to hiking the battlements of Dubrovnik, this program has it all. This is the world where east has met west for millennia, where nations were born and perished and where its remarkable and diverse people have remained and flourished. Tops marks to Road Scholar for its insightful, challenging, and enriching program.

Paula
(5)

We had a marvelous experience with our first ever Road Scholar trip to Dalmatia, Croatia. The combination of on land and boat accommodations were just the right mix. Our group leader was awesome, and VERY knowledgeable.

Connie
(5)

Swim in a beautiful sea and visit places you learned about as a child. Walk in the footsteps of ancient civilizations. Visit this beautiful region of seas and mountains and fortified cities with like minded travelers led by guides who insure you take away learning and memories. I wanted a trip on the water in a small group to an ancient country that included hiking and climbing, learned lectures and great companions. I got it.

Thomas
(5)

This trip provided a chance to visit some of the most beautiful places in Europe, as well as a great overview of the history of Dalmatia, and an appreciation of the challenges that its people have faced in the past and in recent years.

Dianna
(5)

What an absolutely wonderful trip! The itinerary, the hosts, the crew were outstanding. I look forward to taking another RoadScholar trip in the future!

Sandra
(5)

The Adriatic Sea on which we sailed was many shades of blue. What a great view when you step out of your cozy, air-conditioned cabin. The cities and towns we visited were beautiful old-world European with their own special quaintness. Great in the spring.

Helen
(5)

This trip has it all: dreamlike scenery, profound history going back eons, local people both friendly and (mostly) speaking some English, contrast between both remote and bustling areas, all experienced while in the perfect comfort of a lovely small ship.

A true adventure along the coastline as well as the islands of Croatia from Dubrovnik to Split, on a beautiful Yacht. What more would you want?

Marcia
(5)

I've been to a lot of countries and Croatia is the most beautiful I've seen. I loved the history and the small villages we visited. Staying on the yacht was an extra treat.

Mike
(5)

Excellent in every respect. Fascinating new country to us. Combination of land and sea and sights and educational experiences was just right.

Loretta
(5)

Great repeat great experience and it was nice to find a tour that offered a 'no single supplement' fee as many of us travel solo.

Ronald
(5)

This program is a must for those who enjoy being on the water and seeing fascinating historical sites of many periods. The best way to experience the Dalmatian coast.

Diane
(5)

This trip was absolutely fantastic! Our leader, Mirela Slonjsek, was superb. She was so knowledgable, easy to talk to and she handled two medical problems beautifully, one being a woman who fell, dislocating her elbow and breaking her arm. The Barbara was an absolutely terrific way to travel and was so relaxing. Spending time on the boat gave us the opportunity to mingle with our fellow travelers and become much closer to them than if we had traveled by bus. The food was well below our expectations, but everything else about it was outstanding. The islands we visited were beautiful, relaxing and each one was different. The two meals we had in local villages were excellent and in great surroundings. Diocletian's Palace in Split was beyond belief. All in all, I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants a "little different" experience. Road Scholar has done it again!

Roberta
(5)

This is an excellent program and a wonderful way to experience the charm and beauty of Croatia as well as learning lots!

Al
(5)

Improve your historical, political, and cultural perspectives of a complicated and under-appreciated part of the world while enjoying vistas and surroundings as impressive and beautiful as anywhere on the planet.

Shelley
(5)

Although I have thought about a trip to Croatia for several years, signing up for this actually was fairly last minute. Everything went smoothly, and I am so glad I chose to do this. I learned a great deal, I saw some beautiful places, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning some of the history of this complicated part of the world. I highly recommend this trip, but it can be tiring. This is NOT a sit-on-the-beach trip. It is active and busy. Just be aware of that.

Paula
(5)

Wonderful trip - late May was a beautiful time of year to visit Croatia weather and crowd wise. It is a beautiful country with delightful people. We enjoyed the Casonova and its delightful crew. Marina was a wonderful leader and we had a great group of 26. It was our first Road Scholar trip and we will do another!

Well planned, eye opener for "different" part of the world. Very well executed!

Vivian
(5)

This was an exceptional trip. The boat, Casanova, was very comfortable and the brothers who ran it did a great job. The two hotels were luxurious and in good locations. The tour guide, Marina, was amazing and made the trip easy and enjoyable. My only compliant was that some of the towns were more touristy than I expected with crowds and tourist shops.

Mary
(5)

This is a lovely trip especially if you love small boats and water travel.

Elaine
(5)

This is an amazing trip and thoroughly enjoyable, varied and educational. The Barbara is a wonderful small boat and if you are luck enough to have the cook and crew that part of the experience will be memorable as well as the variety of land sightseeing!! Montenegro is a wonderful way to end the land part of the trip, a grand little hotel with a lovel pool and great sights to see.

Marilyn
(5)

This is a physically and mentally challenging program offering exceptional opportunities to explore the cultures of Croatia and Montenegro.

Joseph
(5)

If you've ever thought about a trip to Croatia's coast, this is the one for you! It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip from start to finish and we can hardly wait to return to see more.

Brenda
(5)

We have wanted to visit Croatia for years, and when we saw the coastal voyage offered by Road Scholar we knew this was the year to go! We were very happy that we also participated in the Extension: Croatia's Capital and Beautiful Lakes. Spending time in Zagreb, and then taking the bus drive from the interior to the coast, gave us a much better understanding of the country. Plitvice Lakes National Park is just amazing - the lakes and waterfalls are different than anything we have ever seen before. Our Croatian born guide was delightful, and we appreciated his deep knowledge and pride in his country. We're also glad that we chose to visit Croatia in late April/early May. The weather was cool, but comfortable, and we missed the crowds and heat that arrive later in the summer. The views from our ship (the Futura) were just incredible, and we enjoyed island hopping our way down the coast. We were not expecting gourmet food on the ship, and we were surprised and pleased with how wonderful the meals were. We did have a few chances to eat on shore - but none of those meals matched the Futura's dining room. The last stop was Montenegro, and it was a privilege to visit the world's second newest country. One of the highlights was a private tour of former Yugoslavia President Tito's villa & spa in Igalo. This was our first Road Scholar trip, and it far exceeded our expectations. We'll be back for more!

Gerry
(5)

In short, this trip is fantastic. Just do it. I've traveled independently to many places in the world and this was the first tour. It is very well organized, the accommodations are very good, and everyone was very helpful. Our boat was the MY Futura and the cabins were pleasantly larger than a standard cruise ship. The ship and group size lets you visit the small harbors along the coast which will take your breath away. Out tour guide was Mirela who was always pleasant and the passion for her country was evident. I could not recommend this trip more highly.

Helen
(5)

Croatia was fabulous, and experiencing it by sea was an exceptional adventure! Great guides, fabulous food, and so much new information about a country with a very long history! Thank you, Road Scholar, for a wonderful journey!!!

Kathryn
(5)

Lovely to travel in May, before the crowds of tourists arrive.

Tom
(5)

This program was nearly flawless - led by a woman (Mirela) who is a bright, engaging, knowledgeable, well organized - perfect in this role. I was introduced to wonderful, varied places in a country (Croatia) that I had known little about before this trip. Mighty hard to beat this one!! (a picky, fairly experienced traveler)

Joellen
(5)

This was an excellent trip. The leader, Jana Stepic, is superb. The balance of ship and land accommodation was very good, and I learned so very much about this part of the world! A truly excellent program. The guides in each location were top notch, and the lectures fit perfectly into the travel plan. The chef on the MS Casanova was a great cook, and a pleasant surprise. I did it in April, when the south wind on the Adriatic Sea can be problematic, and one morning while at sea, we did encounter what locals said was the worst south wind in 15 years. It made the ship pitch far more than I expected, but I was okay. If you tend to seasickness, I would suggest taking the autumn option instead as they say that the seas are less likely to be rough at that time of year.

Walter
(5)

This program is an ideal way to see the Dalmatian coast and learn about this upcoming country while enjoying the beautiful water and islands.

Nancy
(5)

This program provides a wonderful small ship excursion to a part of the world less traveled but which I am confident will become very popular. It offers an opportunity to visit an area full of history and natural beauty with all the comforts of the most modern venues.

Leroy
(5)

Small ship cruise is the only way to see Dalmatian coast.

Susan
(4)

The small ship experience went beyond my expectations with both the guide Marina and the crew of the MS Casanova. It was a perfect balance of learning experiences and free time that allowed me to take in all the local culture and to feel the environment of the Adriatic coast.
