Morning: Coach to Mission Bay Aquatic Center The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is a cooperative collegiate waterfront facility jointly owned and operated by Associated Students of San Diego State University, and Campus Recreation of University of California San Diego. The Center is the world's largest instructional waterfront facility. Last year over 15,000 participants experienced instructional and recreational opportunities in wakeboarding, sailing, boogie boarding, surfing, water skiing, rowing, kayaking, and windsurfing. At the Center there will be a one-time presentation on safety rules and evaluation of the participants' water adeptness (swim test). Once that is completed, it's time to hit the waves and surf!

Lunch: Lunch on your own at Seaport Village

Afternoon: Coach to San Diego Bay Your afternoon will feature an adventure on the San Diego Seal Tour, which takes you along the scenic bay front by road in an amphibious vehicle, then heads straight into the big bay without missing a beat. On the Seal Tour, every seat is a good one; it’s an open air tour vehicle that allows all guests to enjoy the tour with amazing views. The amphibious vehicles, driven by experienced captains, are specially designed and built to be used on land and water; each one is Coast Guard approved and meets all passenger vehicle and department of transportation requirements to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on board. Enjoy! Coach returns to the hotel.

Dinner: A social for adults and a social for youngsters will be followed by dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Evening: A veteran surfer will offer an informative and entertaining introduction to the culture of surfing in Southern California with an inspiring video presentation to whet the appetities of the participants for their surfing experiences in San Diego!

Morning: Coach to Mission Bay Aquatic Center You will return to Mission Bay Aquatic for your introductory lesson in the iconic sport of surfing. The trained and enthusiastic instructors at the center will lead the group for a short walk across Mission Boulevard to Pacific Beach for instruction and hands-on experience in how to mount the board, paddle and rise up. Then, it's into the water to "get your feet wet" for a fun morning in the waves!

Lunch: Boxed lunch delivered to Mission Bay Aquatic Center

Afternoon: The coach will depart for La Jolla Shores In or on the water is the perfect way to explore the spectacular scenery and coastal formations which make La Jolla Shores a favorite of tourist and locals alike. A certified guide will keep the group together and point out the beauty and fragility of this coastal habitat. While kayaking, harbor seals may make their appearance as they bask in the sun on the rocks or dive into the surf to fish. Coach returns to the hotel.

Dinner: A social for adults and a social for youngsters will be followed by dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Evening: The evening will be devoted to supervised pool activities for the youngsters and, perhaps, some board games for young and not-so-young alike!

Morning: Coach to Birch Aquarium The mission of the Birch Aquarium at Scripps is to provide ocean science education, to interpret Scripps research, and to promote ocean conservation. The Aquarium provides ocean science education through creative exhibits, programs, and activities designed to help people use critical thinking, and to make science relevant to their daily lives. Docents interpret Scripps Institution of Oceanography research, emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of the science used to study Earth, and inspiring public support of scientific endeavors. The institution promotes conservation through education and research, believing that with increased understanding of the ocean, people will respect and protect the marine environment. Coach returns to the hotel.Coach to Mission Beach Aquatic Center The siren call of the Pacific beckons us back to the beach for more sun, sand, and surf! Mornings are the best time to catch the best waves and the instructors will be in the water with us to point out where the surf breaks are and the optimum point in the wave to catch it and ride it to shore. Coach will return to the hotel.

Afternoon: Coach to Mission Beach Aquatic Center The siren call of the Pacific beckons us back to the beach for more sun, sand, and surf! Mornings are the best time to catch the best waves and the instructors will be in the water with us to point out where the surf breaks are and the optimum point in the wave to catch it and ride it to shore. Coach will return to the hotel.

Dinner: Dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel. .

Evening: There will be time for relaxation for the adults and the opportunity for the youth to avail themselves of the heated pool at the hotel.

USS Midway Museum, Belmont Park at Mission Beach

Breakfast: Breakfast will be served in a banquet room at the hotel.

Morning: Coach to the harbor Prepare yourself for a lifetime memory through an exclusive docent led tour aboard the USS Midway Museum.You'll explore a floating city at sea and relive nearly 50 years of world history aboard the longest-serving Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Exhibits range from the crew's sleeping quarters to a massive galley, engine room, the ship's jail, officer's country, post office, machine shops, and pilots' ready rooms, as well as primary flight control. Especially popular are the other museum docents you'll meet throughout the ship. Each is eager to share a personal story, an anecdote, or amazing statistic, adding to your amazement throughout your adventure.

Lunch: Lunch provided by the hotel. Coach leaves for Mission Bay Aquatic Center.

Afternoon: Coach to Mission Beach Aquatic Center Once again its back to the beach for more sun, sand, and surf! The tidal charts predict that the waves will be good providing nice breaks for the final surf session of the program. Following the surf session, the coach will take the group to Belmont Park on Mission Beach.

Dinner: Dinner is at Belmont Park, you are free to explore the multitude of options. Our group leader will offer guidance and suggestions.

Evening: Belmont Park is a historic oceanfront amusement park located on Mission Beach. The park was developed by sugar magnate John D. Spreckels and opened on July 4, 1925. Its signature attraction was built in that year and remains the Big Dipper wooden roller coaster. In addition there are numerous casual restaurants and a great variety of amusements. Among them are a Tilt-A-Whirl, a three-story drop tower (the "Vertical Plunge"), the Liberty Carousel, an arcade, laser tag, Zip Line, mini-golf, climbing wall, Sky Ropes, FlowRider and FlowBarrel. The Coach will then return the group to the hotel.

Morning: Master chefs from San Diego State University Dining Services will offer a highly informative and entertaining hands-on presentation for both the adults and youth.
