My 8 year old Granddaughter and I had a great time on this trip. She had never kayaked before and learned quickly. We both made new friends. I highly recommend this excursion.

A terrific four days on the central coast of California. Road Scholar runs an amazing program.

This is a super program for grandchildren and grandparents. We did so many activities together and the days were filled with fun. Both children and adults all enjoyed it thoroughly. We had two fun presentations of wild animals/birds and visited tide pools, swam and played at an ocean beach, took some walks, climbed sand dunes, saw elephant seals and sea otters, and kayaked, all in the space of 3 days. The hotel is lovely.

This is the second time I have taken a grandchild on this trip! I liked it even better (if that is possible) this time. We saw elephant seals, enjoyed working with a master falconer, learned about many sea creatures and even went kayaking! The kids had time to swim in the afternoon which helped them relax. I applaud this program and thank Bruce Brown, Chris Cameron and Shannon Harmon for an excellent learning experience.

This was the second time I did this trip with a different grandkid. This remains our favorite trip out of 7. Great variety, lots of hands on time, tide pools are great. Eating the snail was awesome! Leaders Bruce and Shannon make the trip work!
