Lunch: Explore local fare on your own in the neighborhood of the hotel.

Afternoon: We will meet at 4:00 PM in the hotel lecture room for an introduction to the program. Your Group Leader will greet everyone and lead introductions. We will review the program theme, the up-to-date Daily Schedule and any changes, discuss safety guidelines, emergency procedures, roles and responsibilities, and answer any questions you may have. Indicated times are approximate. Program activities, schedules, and personnel may need to change due to local circumstances. In the event of changes, we will alert you as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Dinner: Hotel dining room. Unless otherwise noted, dinners on this program are typically a three-course set menu. Please note that water is included in the program cost at all meals.

Activity note: Today you will walk up to 4 miles over cobblestones and uneven pavement, sometimes in very crowded places. There will be stairs without railings.

Breakfast: Hotel dining room. On this program, breakfasts will offer a typical European style breakfast buffet with breads, cheeses, cold-cuts, yogurt, fruit, cereals, juice, milk, coffee, tea and water.

Morning: Experience the famous Amsterdam canals on an expert-led excursion by canal boat before exploring Amsterdam's old city center on foot, ending near the flower market. Pass by such sites as the Old Church, the National Monument, the Royal Palace, and the New Church.

Lunch: Set lunch at the museum restaurant. Unless otherwise noted, lunches on this program are typically a two-course set menu or a sandwich lunch.

Afternoon: An expert-led field trip to the Amsterdam Historical Museum to take in the history of this great city. Explore the museum's permanent art exhibit, learn about Amsterdam's rich history, and gain insight into the city's people and culture.

Dinner: Tonight we will enjoy a traditional Dutch Indonesian Rice Table.

Morning: Discover the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the largest flower auction in the world, where over 20 million flowers from all over the world are traded on a daily basis. We will enjoy an expert-led excursion through the auction house, followed by a visit to a greenhouse to see a variety of plants and flowers.

Lunch: At a local restaurant.

Afternoon: We pay a visit to The Hague, the legal capital of the world, with a stop at Scheveningen, one of The Hague’s eight districts and famous seaside resort.

Dinner: At a local restaurant.

Morning: Departure by coach from Amsterdam. En route to Brussels, a stop in Antwerp makes for a delightful afternoon. From the medieval riverside fortress to modern waterfront creations, Antwerp is full of enchantments.

Afternoon: Enjoy an expert-led walk through the old city center of Antwerp. Visit the Cathedral of our Lady which houses famous Rubens paintings. Check into hotel in Brussels.

Morning: This morning we will visit the European Union building for an interactive, self-guided excursion. Learn about the history of the EU, and gain insight into current challenges and benefits, and how the EU operates.

Afternoon: An expert-led bus excursion brings the city to life. Brussels is a city whose character comes from the coexistence of French and Flemish cultures. See such sites as the Market Square, the most beautiful square in the world.

Dinner: At a restaurant with a view over the famous market square of Brussels.

Morning: Take in a lecture on Flemish Art from the 13th-17th century, and learn about such artists as van Eyck, Breughel, Rubens and van Dijck. We visit the Royal Museums of Fine Arts - Museum of Ancient Art. Enjoy an expert-led exploration of the museum, which will highlight the work of Brueghel, Bosch and the Flemish Primitives.

Morning: We travel by coach to one of the gems of Belgium, medieval Bruges, where we will have an expert-led walking excursion through the old city center. Walk along the Minnewater park, the Begijnhof (courtyard of the Beguins - secular nuns), the city's medieval street, and finishing at the Belfry of Bruges.

Lunch: Explore local fare on your own.

Afternoon: This afternoon we visit the medieval city of Ghent, where the Industrial Revolution started in the 19th century. Walk along the canals, through the historical center with its many squares (Vrijdagsmarkt, Groentenmarkt, and Koorenmarkt), and see such sites as the medieval fortress of Gravensteen, the meat market, and St. Bavo Church, which houses the famous Van Eyck altarpiece.

Dinner: At a restaurant in Ghent.

Evening: Coach back to Brussels.

Activity note: Your luggage will be transferred for you from Brussels to Paris via a luggage van. It will be available at your Paris hotel upon check-in.

Morning: This morning we transfer from Brussels to Paris via TGV (high speed train). Upon arrival in Paris transfer to a restaurant next to the Pompidou center.

Lunch: At Creperie Beaubourg.

Afternoon: Enjoy an expert-led excursion of the Ile de la Cité along with a visit to Notre Dame. Ile de la Cité is one of two natural islands in the Seine within the city of Paris, and it is the center of the city and the location where the city was founded. Then check in to the hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to unpack and relax.

Dinner: At a local restaurant.

Evening: This evening enjoy a concert at the Saint Chapelle cathedral.

Afternoon: This afternoon enjoy an expert-led discovery of the Palace of Versailles, the French royal chateau from 1682 until 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution.

Dinner: At a local restaurant.

Evening: This evening enjoy a city lights excursion by coach en route back to the hotel after dinner. See such Paris highlights as the Eiffel Tower, The Invalides, and the Arc de Triomphe lit up against the night sky.

Morning: This morning enjoy a discovery of the Musée d’Orsay. A former train station converted into a museum, the Musée d’Orsay houses one of the most important collections of Impressionist art in France.

Lunch: At the Musée d'Orsay.

Afternoon: Accompanied by your Paris expert, explore the artistic neighborhood of Montmartre, including Place du Tertre and Sacre Coeur. After returning to the hotel in the early evening, enjoy some free time to relax before dinner.

Dinner: Farewell dinner at a local restaurant within walking distance from the hotel.
