This was our first Road Scholar trip and this added a whole new dimension of experience to travel for us. Our leaders, Karen and Jere, were kind, informative and professional. What I enjoyed most about the trip was our time together in our group including 45 participants. Everyone there was there to learn and to enjoy! The sites were amazing and the knowledge of those in the local communities that shared their lives and the history of their area added a personal view of life in the Last Frontier. With gratitude, Carol and Don Jorgensen, Jefferson, SD.

The focus on native cultures and their traditions was a valuable part of the experience and honored the history of Alaska. We had the opportunity to go "behind the scenes" on many of our excursions; what a treasure! That's something we wouldn't have had with just the cruise line. Being with like-minded people was also an advantage of traveling with Road Scholar.

Good material, good instructors, welcoming

This trip to Alaska was truly the great adventure that we hoped for! We traveled from Fairbanks to Denali to Anchorage to Seward then onto the cruise ship which revealed even more exciting places. We were led by fabulous Valerie and schooled in all things Alaska by the amazing Jerri. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone who's never experienced the great state of Alaska!

This trip far exceeded my expectations. Our guides Brenda and Mary were absolutely superb and met every need. The organization was impeccable and each day was a joy. The combination of land/sea was wonderful. I highly recommend this trip!

If in depth information about your trip and the local cultural issues is important to you then you will really enjoy becoming a Road Scholar.

My sister and I enjoyed this trip and would recommend it to all our friends. It was everything we had hoped for and more.

This was my first travel tour and my first Road Scholar tour. It set a very high standard! The breadth and depth of information presented to us, both as a group and individually, gave me my favorite souvenir: a richly textured learning experience.

I have not been able to stop talking about our trip to Alaska. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Visiting Alaska has stimulated my interest in learning more about that fascinating state and its people.
