Activity note: Hotel check-in is available at 4 p.m. If you are arriving in Eugene earlier in the day, please contact the Phoenix Inn to find out if they can offer an earlier check-in time. The Road Scholar program check-in and welcome is scheduled from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. We look forward to meeting you and exploring our schedule of program activities before dinner and the Discovery Series Concert: J.S. Bach's St. John Passion, Part II.

Afternoon: Hotel check-in begins at 4 pm. Please check with the hotel beforehand to see if it is possible for you to check in early.

Dinner: Enjoy a delicious dinner at University of Oregon dining services at Barnhart Hall. The cafeteria features a wide variety of healthy menu choices. Road Scholars share the dining facility with the OBF musicians, and OBF educational program participants. You may find yourself sharing a table with one or more of the artists during your stay.

Evening: After dinner, we will depart for Beall Concert Hall for our first concert, An Evening with Nicholas Phan.

Activity note: Start the day with a presentation by the OBF Associate Director of Education. Enjoy a celebratory concert by the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy.

Breakfast: It's your choice! Enjoy a continental breakfast at your hotel or join us at Barnhart Hall cafeteria where you can sample many delicious breakfast selections.

Morning: Attend an informal performance by the 2016 Picfest Choir at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.

Lunch: Enjoy each other's company over lunch at the University of Oregon Barnhart Hall cafeteria.

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon at an educational event related to the 2016 OBF programming.

Dinner: Enjoy a delicious dinner at University of Oregon dining services at Barnhart Hall. The cafeteria features a wide variety of menu choices. Not officially on the menu, but an added treat, is the possibility of sharing a table with a performer.

Evening: Maestro Matthew Halls conducts the Berwick Academy in The Early Romantics, a concert featuring works by Carl Maria von Weber, Schubert and Mendelssohn.

Activity note: We will take part in a variety of festival-related activities and a local field trip. The evening concert of Baroque music will be performed by the Berwick Academy under the direction of renowned Danish harpsichordist and conductor Lars Ulrik Mortensen.

Afternoon: Discovery I: Christmas Oratorio at the Soreng Theatre.
