Afternoon: Program check-in followed by boat to the island. Settle into your room, explore the main campus and gather for a welcome & orientation reception, followed by a cruise of Muscongous Bay in search of local seabirds, and bald eagles and osprey.

Dinner: Gather for dinner in the dining hall

Evening: Presentation: Dr. Steven Kress, Vice President for Bird Conservation of the National Audubon Society, and Director of the Seabird Restoration Program for over 30 years will share conservation challenges and successes worldwide and provide a history of seabird restoration in Maine.

Seabird Class, Boat Trip to a seabird island

Breakfast: Join us on an early morning bird walk before we gather in the dining hall for breakfast.

Morning: This morning we'll begin in the lab, examining basic seabird biology using study mounts and skins. After, we'll learn how to identify seabirds -- focusing particularly on keys/tips to differentiate among similar species.

Lunch: Gather in the dining hall for lunch.

Afternoon: This afternoon we'll take a field trip to Wreck Island via boat. As we cruise to the island, put your newly learned ID skills to the test, before stepping ashore for this special opportunity for an upclose and personal experience with the heron and seabird colonies here. On our way back, practice your seabird ID skills again while keeping watch for seals, porpoise and small whales as well.

Breakfast: Join us on an early morning bird walk before we gather in the dining hall for breakfast.

Morning: This morning we'll begin with a presentation on Seabird Feeding Behaviors before heading out to sea via boat to begin our service work. We'll learn habitat restoration techniques at Eastern Egg Rock and work to improve tern nesting areas for the upcoming year.

Lunch: Today we'll enjoy lunch out in the field.

Afternoon: After lunch we'll continue our conservation service work performing tern habitat improvement before cruising back to camp via boat.

Dinner: Gather together for dinner in the dining room.

Evening: Presentation: Seabird Nesting Cycles

Breakfast: Join us on an early morning bird walk before we gather in the dining hall for breakfast

Morning: After breakfast we'll head back out to sea to conduct more habitat improvement.

Lunch: We'll enjoy another lunch out in the field.

Afternoon: After lunch we'll continue our service work before boarding the boat for a relaxing cruise head back to camp.

Dinner: Gather in the dining room for dinner.

Breakfast: Join us on an early morning bird walk before we gather in the dining hall for breakfast.

Morning: After breakfast, we'll head back out to the sea for our final day of tern habitat improvement.

Lunch: We'll enjoy lunch out in the field.

Afternoon: After lunch we'll continue our service work before heading off island early for a break and a relaxing cruise ride back to camp before our farewell dinner.

Dinner: Celebratory Lobster Dinner

Evening: After dinner, we'll view a celebratory slideshow of moments during our week and then share favorite moments among the group.
