John Counsell
John Counsell attended the University of Notre Dame on a baseball scholarship and played in the minor leagues for the Minnesota Twins for four seasons. He was assistant baseball coach at Notre Dame, director of community relations for the Milwaukee Brewers and worked as a marketing official for the PGA TOUR. John’s son Craig played major league baseball for 16 years and won two World Series. John and Craig are the only father-son captains of any sport in the history of Notre Dame.
