Evening: 6:30 pm | Formal welcome and orientation session (meet the group!). 7:30 pm | Evening learning program by adult learning facilitator and Center of Renewal Executive Director Nancy P. Askins, Ph.D. Explore the upcoming week's programs through formalized learning activity including Niagara Falls video. 8:30 pm | Welcome wine-and-cheese social
Breakfast: 8:30 am | Breakfast at Center
Morning: This morning we'll board the bus for a field trip to Old Fort Niagara in Village of Youngstown. There, we'll cover Native American history, the 1600s-1700s, the War of 1812, and much more.
Lunch: 12:00 pm | We'll return to the Center of Renewal for lunch
Afternoon: After lunch, we'll board the bus for a field trip to New York State Power Authority to learn about hydroelectric power in the Niagara Frontier. After, we'll enjoy a visit to a site along Niagara USA Wine Trail before returning to the Center of Renewal for dinner.

Evening: After dinner enjoy some free time at the Center. Evening activities vary from night to night, typically includes such activities as classes, films, open times, periodic swim times (specific schedule), and socials.
Breakfast: 8:30 am | Breakfast at Center
Morning: 9:30 am | Morning Lecture with specialists from Niagara Falls State Park who will discuss Niagara Falls Geography and Natural History.
Lunch: 12:00-12:45 pm | Lunch at the Center of Renewal.
Afternoon: 12:45 pm | Board bus to Niagara Falls State Park, the oldest state park established in the USA. The Park celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2010. There, take a ride on the famed boat, the Maid of the Mist(boat ride pending seasonal availability and weather restrictions), and visit Goat Island, part of the Niagara Falls USA State park. A breathtaking afternoon experience!
Dinner: 5:00 pm | Dinner at the Center of Renewal.
Evening: 7:00 pm | Enjoy movie night or other leisure activities at the retreat center. !

Morning: Board bus for Canada trip. IMPORTANT! BRING VALID PASSPORT AND JACKET FOR TRIP TO CANADA!
Lunch: Join the group for a special lunch in the restaurant at the top of the Skylon Tower overlooking Niagara Falls -- breathtaking views and a wonderful meal, too! Skylon Tower's world-famous dining simply must be experienced. Their award-winning continental cuisine is presented in an elegant setting 775 ft. above the Falls. Experience once-in-a-lifetime views of Niagara Falls, the Great Gorge, and Niagara Wine District. Lunch includes admission to the Skylon Tower Ride-to-the-Top and Indoor/Outdoor Observation Decks.
Afternoon: Continue our visit on the Canadian side of the Falls and Ontario, Canada.

Morning: This morning we'll visit the special Underground Railroad exhibit featuring historical artifacts. After, we'll stop to see the inspiring historic statues (in the Village of Lewiston): 1) "Freedom Crossing" statue depicting Josiah Tryon helping slaves cross the river into freedom in Canada; 2) Tusarora Native Americans helping villagers escape from the British.
Lunch: 12:00 pm | Lunch at Center
Afternoon: 12:45 pm | After lunch, we'll board bus for a field trip on the Underground Railroad, visiting various key sites in the area to increase your knowledge of this historic time in the United States of America.
Dinner: 5:00 pm | Dinner at Center with re-enactor Peter Green.
Evening: 7:00 pm | Join re-enactors from the 1800's in an Underground Railroad performance in the Main Lounge. Met abolitionists "Josiah and Sally Tryon" (Lewiston Council on the Arts) as they share their stories of 19th Century life and related challenges.
Breakfast: 8:30 am Breakfast at Center
Morning: Free time until 10:10 am to finish packing and checking out from room. 10:15-11:45 am | Final learning session and fun competition exercise: "All You've Learned about Niagara Falls", facilitated by adult learning facilitator and Center of Renewal executive director Nancy P. Askins, Ph.D. Enjoy this final session structured as a fun-filled learning game complete with prizes!
Lunch: 12:00 pm | Lunch at Center; program officially ends after lunch. Have a safe trip home, and thank you for enjoying our Niagara Falls area Road Scholar lifelong learning adventure!
