At a Glance

If you love skiing, this is your chance to experience America’s winter Mecca: Aspen/Snowmass. Skiing on blue square trails and higher, and with 90 trails and 23 lifts, Snowmass will serve as your primary ski mountain, with possible opportunities to ski Aspen’s other mountains. Whether you like the steep stuff, bumps, trees or wide-open cruisers, there are plentiful runs to satisfy the whims and skills of every type of intermediate and advanced skier.

For intermediate and experienced skiers! Choose a sub-group based on your speed and terrain preference for all day skiing at elevations of 8,500-12,500 ft.

Peter McCarville
Peter McCarville is a consulting geologist, geological instructor and educator who has lived in Colorado on the western slope since 1995. He also works as an instructor and program designer for Mountains and Plains Institute (MPILLS), leading hiking and skiing excursions, while making cameo appearances as a geology expert on other programs. He has a wonderful ability to convey complex natural history in layman's terms.
