Laura Vick
Dr. Laura Vick has been leading educational excursions to the Yucatan for more than 20 years. Laura holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is fluent in Spanish. Laura is professor emeritus at William Peace University, where she has received several honors and teaching awards for her work as a professor of anthropology and her dedication to international studies. She is a biological anthropologist and has extensively studied spider monkey behavior in Mexico. In addition to primatology, Laura is an expert in human evolution and Mesoamerican prehistory, with a special interest in contemporary and ancient Maya culture.
