Morning: We begin the day with a lecture on "Prophets and Kings: Political and Religious Leadership in Ancient Israel". Depart for a field trip to Biblical Jerusalem (City of David), home to prophets and kings.

Afternoon: Explore the "Centrality of the Temple in Israelite and Jewish Religion" at the Southern Wall Excavations .

Afternoon: Visit the Garden Tomb, where many remember the crucifixxion and resurrection of Jesus. Explore the sights and smells of the Machaneh Yehuda fruit & vegetable market.

Afternoon: Tour of the Shrine of the Book and the Second Temple Period Model housed at the Israel Museum followed by free time to explore the recently renewed exhibitions.

Dinner: Dinner at the hotel dining room.

Evening: Study Session: Lecture by a Holocaust Survivor who will describe his or her personal experiences during this difficult period of history.

Afternoon: Explore Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Check-in at the hotel. Time to float in the Dead Sea, known for its therapeutic properties, or enjoy the hotel's swimming pool and spa facilities.

Afternoon: Set off for a boat ride on the Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) before returning to the hotel.

Afternoon: Excursion to the Golan Heights Winery for a tour and wine-tasting. Strategic briefing along the northern border by former IDF (Israeli Defense Force) officer.

Afternoon: Travel south along the Mediterranean Coast to the ancient port city of Caesarea. On- site lectures: "Crossroads of Civilization: Rome and Jerusalem" and “The Crusades in the Holy Land”. Continue south to the cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv.

Evening: Lecture: Perspectives on the Peace Process I
