Step into the vivid, colorful scenes of a Monet or Pissarro as you start in Paris, Impressionism’s birthplace, and sail along the Seine from Honfleur to the sites that most inspired these legendary artists.

Extensive walking along unpaved lanes and cobblestone streets; some stairs without railings and/or uneven ground. Participants should be able to stand for at least one hour.

  • Voyage along the Seine in comfort aboard a river ship.
  • Journey to Auvers-sur-Oise and visit sites painted by Vincent van Gogh, as well as the artist’s home and final resting place.
  • Venture to Giverny to experience the splendor of Monet’s gardens.

General Notes

This program shares a chartered ship with other Road Scholar programs. Maximum of 120 participants on board, divided into smaller groups for activities. Current Events in Paris: Due to the fire at Notre Dame, the cathedral is closed to visitors. Road Scholar programs that visit île de la Cité will be able to see the outside of the cathedral, but we will not be able to go inside. Also, because of the ongoing “Yellow Jackets” protests in Paris, we may need to make last-minute changes to the itinerary to avoid visiting areas blocked by protesters.
