My first visit to Charleston was wonderful. Our leader,Pegi Roberts, was full of enthusiasm and planned some fun field trips. The highlight of the class was hearing Pegi sing. All the singing performances were very good, but she was the best.

This program offers something for everyone in one of the prettiest cities in the United States! Gorgeous music? Check. Delightful theater? Check. Plantation life (including life as it was really experienced by slaves, as well as their ancestors following the Civil War)? Check. Historic homes decked out for the holidays? Check. Christmas lights galore? Check. Delicious Southern cooking? Check. Easy daily access to the Atlantic Ocean? Check. Friendly participants (even for solo travelers)? Check. A superb financial value? Check. I absolutely loved this program.

Christmas time in Charleston was great. The staff are totally service oriented and so friendly. The food was top notch! The facility a little spartan but the friendliness and service overshadowed any shortcomings. I recommend this program.

The off-site excursions were great and the entertainment "brought in" was very good. I especially liked interacting with the Magnolia Singers.
