We’ll enjoy a pre-breakfast sunrise photo shoot in Bryce Canyon National Park. Driving 112 miles, about 2.5 hours.
At a local restaurant, the breakfast buffet offers choices such as scrambled eggs, French toast, oatmeal, smoked bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted baked goods, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, assorted teas, and water.
Before breakfast, we’ll depart early to photograph the magical glowing hoodoos of Bryce Canyon as the rising sun brings them to life. We’ll capture a fresh perspective that can only be seen by the light of the early morning sun. After breakfast, we’ll check out of the hotel and travel east on Highway 12, one of America’s Scenic Byways, through the heart of the wild and spectacular Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
At a local restaurant, we’ll have a Dutch oven prepared buffet meal including barbecue pork, fresh home-grown vegetables, potatoes and baked beans, coleslaw, lemonade and dessert. Coffee, tea, water included.
We’ll continue traveling along Highway 12 through deep canyons cut into sandstone and over an ancient, forested shield volcano, Boulder Mountain, to Torrey, UT, and check in to our hotel.
At Rim Rock Restaurant, we’ll have a plated meal with dessert and coffee, tea, and water included; other beverages available for purchase.
We’ll travel by motorcoach to Capitol Reef National Park for a sunset photo shoot to capture desert vistas, white sandstone ridges and domes, and eroded geologic wonders illuminated by the setting sun. Prepare for check-out and transfer in the morning.
