Afternoon: Program Registration: 5:30 p.m. After you have your room assignment, come over to the Road Scholar table on the Mezzanine Level beginning at 5:30 p.m. to register with the program staff and get your welcome packet containing your name-tag, up-to-date schedule that reflects any last-minute changes. Follow by the orientation meeting including introduction to the program and the highlights on the 38th Festival edition.If you arrive late, please ask for your packet when you check in.

Dinner: 6:30 pm At a popular steak house restaurant on rue St-Paul, the oldest street in Montréal, enjoy a 3-course plated meal with appetizer (soup or salad), choice of entrée (chicken, fish, steak), dessert of the day, and beverage choices in-cluding coffee (regular/decaf), hot tea, water; other beverages are available for purchase from the bar. Within 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning: Lecture with musicologist and musician, Jennifer Bell your jazz specialist. Learn about the history of jazz in Montreal. Overview of the programming and introduction to the three indoor concerts we will attend.

Lunch: Lunch in a trendy café.

Afternoon: Walking guided tour of Old Montreal, focusing on history and architecture including a visit to the famous Notre-Dame Basilica.

Dinner: 5:00 pm Departure from the hotel to the Festival Site. Dinner on your own. Suggestions will be made.

Evening: First indoor concert at the Jazz Festival. Dave Douglas & Chet Doxas - Riverside with Special guest Carla Bley. Experience the Festival and it's numerous free concerts.

Morning: Presentation and demonstration of jazz improvisation with our two specialized musicians, Jennifer Bell (saxophone) and Cordell Henebury (guitar).

Lunch: Lunch in Old Montreal, the historic district.

Afternoon: 1:30 pm Inside look of the festival: the impressive security system and the animated press room. An exclusive behind the scenes with a Festival representative.

Dinner: Dinner on your own.

Evening: 6:00 pm Attend your second Indoor concert. Ravi Coltrane Quartet.

Morning: This is a day for food lovers. Our specialized guide will lead you on an adventure through the many flavours of Montreal, strolling along beloved Saint-Laurent Boulevard. Here you'll discover many colourful restaurants, brought to the city by the different ethnic communities that have settled along the length of the street over time. We will finish our food lovers' tour at the Jean-Talon public market in Little Italy, a favourite meeting place of Montrealers. Savour the doughnuts found only in Chinatown... the famous Schwart’s smoked meat at Montreal Hebrew Delicatessen...Portugals' renowned egg tarts (Pasteis de nata)... true italian coffee and an array of Quebec products at the public market.

Lunch: Lunch on your own.

Afternoon: 3:00 pm Attend a third indoor concert. Jesse Cook

Dinner: 6:30 pm Farewell Dinner in Old Montreal.

Evening: At leisure.
