This kayaking adventure was beyond my expectations from the hosts, to the lodge, to the food, to the actual kayaking. The daily adventures and locations were well thought out and planned for maximum satisfaction. Each location where we kayaked was beautiful beyond measure, and we were blessed with perfect weather. The cohesiveness of the group was a plus, as everyone was supportive and totally engaged in all that we did.

We kayaked on beautiful lakes, none of them very far away from the lodge. Our hosts and French-Canadian guides were charming. The food was gourmet and outstanding, the best I've ever had on any of my 21 Road Scholar programs.

Kayaking is a wonderful, low-impact way to spend time outdoors, exercise, and view the landscape. We kayaked beautiful lakes, a river, and a marsh in Quebec and northern Vermont. The program can be challenging for novice kayakers depending on weather conditions. The food is wonderful; dinners gourmet quality.

Once again this kayaking program delivered value and enjoyment! People ask why I have attended this program three times. Each time is different and the kayaking conditions provide learning experiences to improve or develop new skills whether we are on a lake, in a marsh or on a river. Highlights are the serenity of the marsh on Lake Brom with sightings of birds and turtles, as well as the day on the Mississiquoi River learning how to deal with eddy currents and small rapids. Beautiful Lake Willoughby and Lake Mempremagog can be challenging but well worth the kayaking journey. At the end of each day you are rewarded with a delicious, gourmet-quality meal as well as a feeling of accomplishment.

The program provided a variety of kayaking experiences on three different lakes and one river and at the end of the day the dinners were wonderful, the company interesting, and the accommodations comfortable. Difficult to ask for more.
