This program was delightful in every way. Our Group Leader, Kathleen Fitzgerald, was enthusiastic and very well organized. Fellow participants were friendly and fun. I enjoyed learning about LA’s art collectors and, especially, visiting the collections. My favorite was the Huntington Library where the gardens are magnificent. Each day was packed with fun excursions and pleasant new friends.
Very interesting and informative. Four individuals in one metro area with such varied interests. Getty Center is worth it just by itself. Well paced with time to see your own interests. Other than being very cool temperature wise, the hotel was great. Good location to use the elevated walkways to explore.
beautiful art, gardens and architecture, interesting people, overview of LA
The Los Angeles art tour was so engaging and well organized I could not have asked for more. Even the hotel and food were spectacular. A lot of fun and great value.
This is a perfectly balanced program with a chance to know the Collectors, the Collections and LA area...and see the sun. Elise Meyers, Portland, Oregon
Highly recommended for art lovers and people who want to learn more about art. Fabulous museums and informative lectures.
Very interesting, well-paced tours of four quite different museums, each preceded by useful commentary by articulate experts.
A great way to see 4 great Art Museums in Los Angeles without the hassle of driving yourself
your website is easy to navigate and provides information in a logical and appropriate design.
This program exceeded my expectations, a week crammed with great art; I came home sated.
If visiting art museums is what you like to do best in a city, this is the tour for you.
An outstanding program in every aspect!
This is an excellent program for those who enjoy art collections and history. The program is well planned and executed. The hotel are clean, reasonably priced and comfortable. The meals were varied. Every dish was delightful. The staff make every effort to be of service.
Great trip. The combination of morning lectures and afternoon museum visits was an excellent way to make the most of each field trip.
This was especially good for an East coast museum loving person who had no knowledge of what LA museum have to offer. It covered the "Big 4" to the extent they could be reviewed in the short time. Doing this alone would have been difficult because everything is so far apart as opposed to NYC, DC or even Chicago where most museums are short taxi trips away.
It is more difficult to search for trips than on the old one.
An excellent and very well organized program. The lectures really enhance the museum experiences. The docent at the Norton Simon museum was also outstanding.
If you have any interest in Art, Art History, Gardens and Architecture, this program should be tops on your Bucket List.
Excellent program. Well worth the travel time and overhead. There's a lot more to L.A. than I previously knew about. The museums are very impressive.
This is an excellent program. It gave me the chance to see wonderful museums without the overhead of getting around on my own in L.A. I learned much more than I expected to - - - and there are many treasures in the L.A. museums. It is definitely worth the trip.
This program was excellent. It was everything I had hoped for and more. There was ample time on our own to enjoy those parts of the museums that we were interested in. The lecturers were excellent as well!
An excellent opportunity to learn about four of LA's art museums, their founders, and the art within them. I particularly liked the amount of free time we had in each place to explore on our own the areas that interested us most. Also, the hotel accommodations and meals were superb.

As we had not taken a Road Scholar program for several years, it was great to be reminded how enjoyable and educational they can be. Also our interest in taking one of the longer overseas programs was wakened again
This was a great program for art lovers. I learned a lot about the collectors and art in general. Highly recommended.
Wonderful lecturers. Well paced schedule. Very conscientious program leaders
Agree with Linda's review. A terrific program and Norton Simon exceptional. Had opportunity to visit The Broad and lunch at adjacent restaurant, Otium. Both are well worth it, but reservations for both well in advance are necessary.
Top-notch program. Well-organized. Great lecturers. Excellent hotel. Four museums in four days. Each day provides a good balance of information and time to explore on your own. The one museum that I hadn't heard of before, the Norton Simon, turned out to be the best. What an eye Simon had! If you like contemporary art, allow time before or after the RS program to see The Broad (rhymes with toad), a short walk from the hotel.
This was among the best programs of over 35 that I have attended. If you appreciate or wish to learn more about art and those who assembled some of the largest or best collections, this is for you.
