The program was new and should be getting better organized. I would return to Shepherd Springs for the quality of the food and the delightful staff.

The volunteer service vacation at Antietam NP was a wonderful experience. We met many wonderful people who were sharing the experience, and also NPS staff. All were welcoming. We hope to return next year.

This was my first service trip. It was a most gratifying experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend trying a service project. In addition to the work on the Antietam battlefield there are so many things to do in the local area.

I recommend this program for anyone interested in service. The work was well planned and seemed to be appreciated. There was a variety of work at various activity levels. The accommodations and food were very good. There were several field trips and a presentation every evening so I learned something. About half of the 16 participants were returnees which tells you something. We even had good weather! I understand that can't be guaranteed.
