I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Road Scholar Scholarship committee, granting me the opportunity to gather with other women of like minds, and experience, Sedona's Healing Arts for Women. The experience was invigorating, and wholesome. The instructor, and visiting instructors, were knowledgeable and added meaning and the importance of learning our bodies with expression of movement and exercise. As a recipient of Road Scholar Scholarship, the experience helps a lot towards achieving goals in my life as well as in my career. I would like to volunteer my services and become an advocate or spokesperson for the Scholarship Committee. Road Scholar is a very professional, and educational organization. Thanks Again Annie Z. This was a wonderful program! I bought home some new practices to incorporate into my life. The instructors were warm and knowledgeable. The setting was beautiful! The price was reasonable. I felt safe to open my heart to new people and experiences.
For any woman at any age seeking a beautiful and spiritual destination for personal growth, sharing with like-minded women and learning about alternative Healing Arts this program is a perfect fit.

This trip was a bummer for me. I went solo. It was full of friends and sisters. Everyone was very nice. But it was a special trip for them. Many had experienced profound losses and were looking for healing. So they were there to bond and heal. It was like hospice on steroids. We were inside about 75 percent of the time or more. Which sucks for being in sedona which is such a beautiful thing. At least 50 of the sessions were lecture.i was hoping for hands on delivery of demos. I was just disappointed by this I had high hopes coming in to it Plus it was spring break so airfare was very high. Live and learn I guess
Highly recommend this program. You will learn so much in beautiful surroundings. The Hilton where we stayed had outstanding service and we were able to use all pools, hot tube, spa Jacuzzis, etc. Heavenly. Our tour guide, Cheryl Brenman, has worked in the area for over 30 years. She was the fist massage therapist in Sedona! She is connected to an amazing community of like minded people devoted as Oprah would say to living your best life through the healing arts. Grab a daughter, mother, sister or friend and GO!
Wonderful enlightening healthy fun week. A few need to know things before you come, wish I had been told. Bring your own sturdy empty water bottle, you MUST hydrate at all times. Bring a hat (outdoor trip) and your swimsuit. There is enough time in the mornings and evenings to do a few laps in the pool or sit in the jacuzzi. AT&T cell phones don't work in the area. I had to get the front desk to call and confirm my shuttle reservations back to the airport. The Hilton doesn't have a gift or snack (1st aid) shop in the hotel. You will have to walk or taxi to get those items. Enjoy the gorgeous views, your new friends and loads of new knowledge.
What a wonderful program, learned more then I even hoped for, would like to repeat.
Wonderfully enjoyable week with the other women during this health retreat. Lots of laughs and sighs, entertaining instructors, stretching of the body, good food choices, breathtaking views around the town, nice accommodations and a spa nearby for swimming and exercise.
I attended the 4/17-4/22/16 session. This program exceeded my expectations in many ways: the quality of the instruction, the cohesiveness of the group, the relaxing atmosphere, and the quality of the venue (Hilton at Red Rocks). I do have a few suggestions: This hotel is 6 miles out of Sedona, and no shuttle is provided into town. Restaurants, ATMs, and a grocery store are within walking distance of the hotel. Taxis are available in Sedona. There is a very nice concierge in the lobby to help with Jeep tours, hiking trails, etc. on your free afternoon. If you really want to explore the area, I suggest you rent a car in Phoenix. If you just want to bliss out at the facility, by all means take one of the shuttles provided from Phoenix airport. They are clean, reliable, and inexpensive. Another heads up is that the rooms are NOT ready until 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m. There is a restaurant on site if you arrive early or leave later than 11:00 a.m. on the last day.
I loved the Healing Arts for Women program. I came away having learned so much from passionate, knowledgeable presenters brought together by a terrific leader, Cherlita Brennan. I also came away with lovely new friends....always a plus!
