This was the trip of a lifetime - we learned so much about Alaska's unique human and animal population. It was not just enjoyable and educational, but transformative in my attitude and efforts towards mitigating human effects on the environment and wildlife. Road Scholar and the Denali Education Center did a fabulous job planning and implementing this experience.

Riding through Alaska on a comfortable train is a wonderful way to experience our 49th state.

Alaska By Rail is an amazing introduction to the wonders of Alaska! A must-do and must-see adventure that will answer all burning questions about the beauty, history, and the people of Alaska. And the train was a definite bonus!

What an incredible journey! Learned a lot, meet great people, well taken care of by the leader.

This was the trip of a lifetime. We did not want to take an Alaskan cruise - we wanted to study Alaska. This was the perfect way to do it.

This trip brought us together with great guides, great Alaskans and great fellow travelers. It was simply a great learning experience and a lot of fun.

A totally wonderful trip. We loved the "camp for adults" Denali Education Center. Nice accommodations and what fabulous blueberry pancakes there!!! Sarah was wonderful, all the speakers were really great and very knowledgeable. Only thing I would change is the hotel in Anchorage. It was old, a bit grubby, the room phone didn't work and neither did the wifi. The other negative thing was the food at the hotel in Fairbanks. It was not very good. This truly is the way to see the Alaska interior, or at least part of it. The train is really fun, clean, comfortable, good food, wonderful views. I also liked that on several occasions we were handed some cash and told to have lunch or dinner wherever we wished. Great way to encourage us to sample some of the local cuisine rather than big 'group' dining. All in all a wonderful adventure.

Discover Alaska by Rail was a great way to learn about an important cross-section of key regions of the state and to interact with people with an amazing range of Alaska knowledge and experience.

This trip is wonderful and riding the train is a great way to experience the beauty of Alaska.

It was colder than I had expected. I wish that I had known to bring gloves and a hat and more layers

I felt that I really got to see a lot of Alaska by riding the rails. The trip was fantastic from start to finish, with many opportunities to see the wildlife, mountains, and glaciers for which the state is famous.

"Alaska By Train" was a great experience. This Road Scholar program would be enjoyed by young or old. After participating in this program, I'm completely open to another Road Scholar trip.

This train trip is the very best way to experience fabulous Alaska.

An experience worth having.

You will really get to know Alaska and the folks who live there.

This trip was the best! Travel through Alaska via the railroad, the experience at the Denali Education Center, and the spectacular sights from the animals of Denali National Park to the glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park all contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable trip. The knowledge of our trip leader and other staff at DEC was impressive.

An adventure of lifetime! It was everything I had wished for. :-)))

What a fantastic way to visit Alaska!

Wow! A must do adventure!

Absolutely fantastic experience. I would strongly recommend this adventure to anyone interested in Alaska. The trip met or exceeded all my expectations.

What a fantastic way to experience Alaska. Beginning in Fairbanks, close to the Arctic Circle, then traveling by Alaska Railroad south to Denali and the other destinations ending in Seward gives one a "up close and personal" introduction to this state.
