Honoring Queen Elizabeth II

The passing of Queen Elizabeth II has touched us all. For the people of the United Kingdom, it marks a moment of resounding significance—grief at the loss of a beloved monarch and head of state who was a constant comfort for generations and a symbolic figure of grace and resolve for millions.

If you are a Road Scholar participant traveling to the United Kingdom in the coming weeks, please know we will likely have to make some adjustments to your program. Royal institutions, churches, museums, and other places you visit may either be closed or have altered schedules during the traditional time of mourning. We will update the schedule of your program if changes need to be made as quickly as possible.

While this is a time of national mourning, it is also a time of incredible historical magnitude. All of the Road Scholar instructors, Group Leaders and friends in the United Kingdom look forward to having you join them as they remember their Queen.
