Walking in Wildflowers: Spring At Shaker Village

Springtime in Kentucky brings forth an amazing display of wildflowers to the Kentucky River Palisades. Formed from the oldest exposed rock in Kentucky, the Palisades are carpeted with such early arrivals as the showy Virginia Bluebells, Nodding Trillium and Dwarf Larkspur. With local experts and naturalists, study wildflower and woody plant identification and learn about the efforts of preservationists to reintroduce native and heirloom plants and animals to Shaker Village.
