The Road Scholar Crafts Week at Snow Farm: Wood Turning and Carving

Join us for an exclusive, Road Scholar-only week of creativity at Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, Mass.! Using woods such as ash, cherry, poplar and walnut, learn how to create works of art and beautiful utilitarian pieces for your home. From simple bowls to candlesticks or platters, learn to shape a piece on the lathe, and then embellish your pieces by carving designs and textures into the surface. Carving techniques will include traditional and free form, using both hand and power tools. This program is for all levels, and will be sure to make you feel comfortable with woodworking tools regardless of your experience. We’ll cap off the week with a student art show and wine-and-cheese reception!
