From Sea Turtles to Space Center: An Intergenerational Exploration of Galveston

Does your grandchild love the ocean and marine mammals? What about space travel and aviation? On an adventure with you in Galveston on the Texas Gulf Coast, your grandchild can indulge a fascination with both the sea and the sky while making memories with you to last forever. Visit Moody Gardens to learn about aquatic creatures at their aquarium pyramid and about how plants and animals adapt to tropical climates at their indoor rainforest. Get an up-close view of rescued sea turtles while staff at a rescue facility explain efforts to save these and other endangered marine animals. Visit NASA’s Johnson Space Center and go inside a unique museum at Hobby Airport to learn the history of aviation and space travel from experts and museum exhibits there, and hear stories from instructors with decades of experience in aviation and space travel about what has changed since they first entered the field.
