Service Learning: Preserving Lincoln's New Salem Village

Learn from historians about the significance of this region in the life of President Abraham Lincoln and see history come alive as we complete projects in the 1830’s pioneer village of Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site, where he spent his early adulthood. Join us for the annual Fall Festival and listen to staff and volunteers tell stories of Lincoln as we demonstrate preparations needed for winter in this reconstructed village.
